Bandonill died in Baghdad, Iraq, from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on April 24, 2006.

Marine Pvt. Lewis T. D. Calapini, 21, of Waipahu, Hawaii.

Calapini died from a non-hostile vehicle accident near Al Taqaddum, Iraq. He was assigned to Anti-Terrorism Battalion, 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on January 23, 2006.

Army Sgt. Deyson K. Cariaga, 20, of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Cariaga died in Al Hammadi, Iraq, when the HMMWV in which he was riding struck a land mine. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 229th Military Intelligence Company, 29th Separate Infantry Brigade, Oahu, Kalaeloa, Hawaii. Died on July 5, 2005.

Army CW2 Ruel M. Garcia, 34, of Wahiawa, Hawaii.

Garcia died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his AH64D (Apache) helicoptor was shot down while conducting aerial patrols. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment (Attack), Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on January 16, 2006.

Army 1st Lt. Nainoa K. Hoe, 27, of Hawaii.

Hoe died in Mosul, Iraq, of wounds received when he was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to 3d Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on January 22, 2005.

Army Pvt. 2nd Class Jeungjin Na Kim, 23, of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Kim died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his patrol was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Hovey, Korea. Died on October 6, 2004.

Army Staff Sgt. Jeffrey S. Loa, 32, of Waianae, Hawaii.

Loa died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, of injuries suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol. Loa was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 35th Armored Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany. Died on August 16, 2006.

Magaoay died as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on November 29, 2004.

Army Sgt. Myla L. Maravillosa, 24, of Wahiawa, Hawaii.

Maravillosa died in Kirkuk, Iraq, of injuries sustained earlier that day in Al Hawijah, Iraq, when her HMMWV was attacked by enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades. She was assigned to the C Company, 301st Military Intelligence Battalion, Honolulu, Hawaii. Died on December 24, 2005.

Marine Lance Cpl. Kristen K. Marino, 20, of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Marino died while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on March 12, 2006.

Army Staff Sgt. Cameron B. Sarno, 43, of Waipahu, Hawaii.

Sarno was hit by a truck while changing his vehicle's tire in Kuwait City, Kuwait, and died as a result of his injuries. Sarno was assigned to the 257th Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve, Las Vegas, Nevada. Died on September 1, 2003.

Marine Sgt. Daniel A. Tsue, 27, of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Tsue died from an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations in the vicinity of Ar Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to 2nd Force Service Support Group, II MEF (Forward). Died on November 1, 2005.

Army Staff Sgt. Ivan V. Alarcon, 23, of Jerome, Idaho.

Alarcon died in Tal Afar, Iraq, when his HMMWV accidentally rolled over during combat operations. He was assigned to the Army's 473rd Quartermaster Company, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Died on November 17, 2005.

Army Pfc. Jacob H. Allcott, 21, of Caldwell, Idaho.

Allcott died of injuries sustained during combat operations in Baghad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV causing a fire. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 67th Armored Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on April 22, 2006.

Marine Lance Cpl. Dustin V. Birch, 22, of Saint Anthony, Idaho.

Birch died as a result of an explosion while conducting combat operations with the 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), in Haqlaniyah, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Force Reserve's 4th Tank Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Boise, Idaho. Died on June 9, 2005.

Army Sgt. Richard P. Carl, 26, of King Hill, Idaho.

Carl was onboard an UH-60 air medical helicopter which crashed in the Tigris River in a non-hostile incident near Samarrah, Iraq. He was assigned to the 571st Air Medical Company, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on May 9, 2003.

Army Sgt. 1st Class Virgil R. Case, 37, of Mountain Home, Idaho.

Case died in Kirkuk, Iraq, from non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 145th Support Battalion, 116th Brigade Combat Team, Mountain Home, Idaho. Died on June 1, 2005.

Army Spc. Carrie L. French, 19, of Caldwell, Idaho.

French died in Kirkuk, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit the front of her convoy vehicle and detonated. She was assigned to the Army National Guard's 145th Support Battalion, Boise, Idaho. Died on June 5, 2005.

Army Sgt. Jeremy E. King, 23, of Meridian, Idaho.

King died of injuries sustained by enemy forces using small arms fire during combat operations. King was assigned to the 8th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on August 24, 2006.

Army Sgt. Kelly S. Morris, 24, of Boise, Idaho.

Morris died in Baghdad, Iraq, from injuries sustained from enemy small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3d Infantry Division from Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on March 30, 2005.

Army Pfc. Jerrick M. Petty, 25, of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Petty was attacked by enemy forces while guarding a gas station. He died of his injuries. Petty was assigned to Company B, 3rd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on December 10, 2003.

Army Pfc. Cleston C. Raney, 20, of Rupert, Idaho.

Raney died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his armored personnel carrier. He was assigned to the 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on March 31, 2004.

Marine Pfc. Christopher J. Reed, 20, of Craigmont, Idaho.

Reed died due a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on July 10, 2004.

Marine Capt. Alan Rowe, 35, of Hagerman, Idaho.

Rowe died due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on September 3, 2004.

Air Force Maj. Gregory Stone, 40, of Boise, Idaho.

Died from wounds received by a March 22, 2003 grenade attack in a tent at Camp Pennsylvania, Kuwait. He was assigned to the 124th Air Support Operations Squadron, Idaho Air National Guard, Boise, Idaho. Died on March 25, 2003.

Army Spc. Brandon T. Titus, 20, of Boise, Idaho.

Titus died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his checkpoint. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died on August 17, 2004.

Army 1st Lt. Luke C. Wullenwaber, 24, of Lewiston, Idaho.

Wullenwaber died in Khaladiyah, Iraq, when he was conducting a security mission and a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Greaves, Korea. Died on November 16, 2004.

Army Pfc. Christopher M. Alcozer, 21, of DeKalb, Illinois.

Alcozer died in Mosul, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire and grenades. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Died on November 19, 2005.

Marine Gunnery Sgt. Terry W. Ball, Jr., 36, of East Peoria, Illinois.

Ball died from wounds received as a result of an explosion while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Al Karmah, Iraq, on June 12, 2005. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on August 5, 2005.

Army 1st Lt. Debra A. Banaszak, 35, of Bloomington, Illinois.

Banaszak died at Camp Victory, Kuwait from noncombat related injuries. She was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1035th Maintenance Company, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Died on October 28, 2005.

Army Pfc. Collier E. Barcus, 21, of McHenry, Illinois.

Barcus was looking for survivors in the Iraqi National Guard Headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq after it was destroyed by a suicide car bomber, when it came under a mortar attack. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on July 8, 2004.

Marine Cpl. Jonathan S. Beatty, 22, of Streator, Illinois.

Beatty died as a result of hostile action in Babil Province, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on January 27, 2005.

Marine Capt. Ryan Anthony Beaupre, 30, of St. Anne, Illinois.

Killed in a CH-46E helicopter crash in Kuwait. He was assigned to the Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron —268, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on March 20, 2003.

Marine Cpl. Christopher Belchik, 30, of Brighton, Illinois.

Belchik died due to enemy action in Babil Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on August 22, 2004.

Army Sgt. Bradley H. Beste, 22, of Naperville, Illinois.

Army Pvt. Matthew D. Bush, 20, of East Alton, Illinois.

A fellow soldier tried to wake Bush at Camp Caldwell, Iraq and noticed he was not breathing. Bush was assigned to F Troop, 1st Squadron, 10th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on August 8, 2003.

Marine Pfc. Sean T. Cardelli, 20, of Downers Grove, Illinois.

Cardelli died from enemy small arms fire while conducting combat operations near Fallujah, Iraq. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on February 1, 2006.

Army Spc. Ryan G. Carlock, 25, of Macomb, Illinois.

Carlock died of injuries sustained when his fuel truck was attacked by the enemy northwest of Baghdad, Iraq. He was assigned to the 416th Transportation Company, 260th Quartermaster Battalion (Petroleum Support), Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Died on September 9, 2003.

Army Spc. Miguel Carrasquillo, 25, of River Grove, Illinois.

Carrasquillo died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 76th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on August 9, 2005.

Marine Sgt. David M. Caruso, 25, of Naperville, Illinois.

Caruso died as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on November 9, 2004.

Army Spc. Jessica L. Cawvey, 21, of Normal, Illinois.

Cawvey died in Fallujah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near her convoy vehicle. She was assigned to the 1544th Transportation Company, Army National Guard, Paris, Illinois. Died on October 6, 2004.

Army Staff Sgt. William D. Chaney, 59, of Schaumburg, Illinois.

Chaney died in Landstuhl, Germany due to a non-combat related injury. Initial reports indicate that Chaney was medically evacuated from Iraq to Germany for surgery due to a sudden medical condition, and died from complications after surgery. He was assigned to the Army National Guard, Company B, 1st Battalion, 106th Aviation Regiment, Chicago, Illinois. Died on May 18, 2004.

Marine Cpl. Kevin M. Clarke, 21, of Tinley Park, Illinois.

Clarke died as a result of hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on February 19, 2005.

Marine Lance Cpl. Jonathan W. Collins, 19, of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Collins died due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on August 8, 2004.

Cuaresma died in Baghdad, Iraq, from a non-combat related cause. He was assigned to the 68th Engineer Company, 62nd Engineer Battalion, 13th Containment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood, Texas. Died on June 21, 2006.

Cummings died from wounds received while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on June 3, 2006.

Marine Sgt. Edward G. Davis III, 31, of Antioch, Illinois.

Davis died while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on April 28, 2006.

Dostie died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during patrol operations. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on December 30, 2005.

Dusenbery died when two 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on November 15, 2003.

Army Pfc. Shawn C. Edwards, 20, of Bensenville, Illinois.

Edwards died in Samarra, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 121st Signal Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Kitzingen, Germany. Died on April 23, 2004.

Army Pfc. Wyatt D. Eisenhauer, 26, of Pinckneyville, Illinois.

Eisenhauer died in Mahmudiyah, Iraq, on an escort mission in a HMMWV when an improvised explosive device detonated on a bridge. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 70th Armor, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on May 19, 2005.

Farmer died in Shuaybah, Kuwait, when a vehicle struck him. He was assigned to the 180th Transportation Battalion, 13th Corps Support Command, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on December 19, 2004.

Marine Lance Cpl. Phillip E. Frank, 20, of Elk Grove, Illinois.

Frank died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on April 8, 2004.

Hull died on board the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz in the Arabian Gulf after being medically evacuated to the carrier for a non-combat related incident. He was an operations specialist assigned to the USS Princeton, home ported in San Diego, California. Died on August 2, 2005.

Jakoniuk died in Taji, Iraq, from non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on November 30, 2005.

Died when his CH-46 Sea-Knight helicopter went down in the Shatt Al Hillah Canal in Iraq shortly after take-off. The helicopter was conducting a resupply mission in support of civil military operations. He was assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron - 364, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on May 19, 2003.

Army Spc. Adriana N. Salem, 21, of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Salem died in Remagen, Iraq when her military vehicle rolled over. She was assigned to the 3rd Forward Support Battalion, Division Support Command, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on March 4, 2005.

Army Spc. Uday Singh, 21, of Lake Forest, Illinois.

Singh died of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his patrol in Habbaniyah, Iraq. He was assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion, 34th Armored Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on December 1, 2003.

Army Pfc. Christopher A. Sisson, 20, of North Riverside, Illinois.

Sisson was in a UH-60 helicopter participating in an air assault mission. He died of injuries sustained when the helicopter flipped and crashed on take off. Sisson was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 325th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on September 2, 2003.

Army 1st Lt. Brian D. Slavenas, 30, of Genoa, Illinois.

Slavenas was on board a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter when it went down in Al Fallujah, Iraq. The cause of the incident is unknown and an investigation is underway. He was assigned to F Company, 106th Aviation Battalion, Army National Guard, Peoria, Illinois. Died on November 2, 2003.

Marine Sgt. Benjamin K. Smith, 24, of Carterville, Illinois.

Smith died due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on September 22, 2004.

Marine 1st Sgt. Edward Smith, 38, of Chicago, Illinois.

Died in Doha, Qatar as a result of wounds received while engaged with enemy forces in Central Iraq on April 4. He was assigned to FOX Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on April 5, 2003.

Sullivan died when two 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 626th Forward Support Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on November 15, 2003.

Army Staff Sgt. Michael J. Sutter, 28, of Tinley Park, Illinois.

Sutter was attempting to render safe an improved explosive device in Baqubah, Iraq when it detonated. He was assigned to the 745th Ordnance Company, 79th Ordnance Battalion, Army National Guard, based in Grayling, Michigan. Died on December 26, 2003.

Army Maj. Paul R. Syverson III, 32, of Lake Zurich, Illinois.

Syverson died in Balad, Iraq, during a mortar attack when mortar rounds hit his camp. He was assigned to 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on June 16, 2004.

Army Sgt. Joshua A. Terando, 27, of Morris, Illinois.

Terando died of injuries sustained during combat operations in Al Khalidiyah, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire. Tyrrell died at Brooke Army Medical Center, in San Antonio, Texas, of wounds received on November 14 in Tikrit, Iraq. Tyrrell was at an ammunition point when it caught on fire. He was assigned to C Company, 299th Engineer Battalion, 4th Infantry Division (Mech), Fort Hood, Texas. Died on November 20, 2003.

Army Spc. Roy Russell Buckley, 24, of Portage, Indiana.

Buckley was aboard a M818 truck traveling in a convoy when he exited the passenger compartment, climbed into the trailer and did not return. Buckley was discovered lying on the side of the road with serious injuries. Medical aid was summoned and he was pronounced dead. Buckley was assigned to the 685th Transportation Company, Hobart, Indiana. Died on April 22, 2003.

Army Sgt. Kyle W. Childress, 29, of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Childress died in Balad, Iraq, of wounds received in Ad Duluiyah, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on January 21, 2005.

Colvill was looking for survivors in the Iraqi National Guard Headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq after it was destroyed by a suicide car bomber, when it came under a mortar attack. Frantz died in Al Huwijah, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during patrol operations. He was assigned to the 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on January 20, 2006.

Army Spc. Luke P. Frist, 20, of West Lafayette, Indiana.

Frist was part of a convoy that was struck with an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq. He died of his wounds at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam, Houston, Texas. Frist was assigned to the 209th Quartermaster Company, U.S. Army Reserve, based in Lafayette, Indiana. Died on January 5, 2004.

Marine Lance Cpl. David J. Grames-Sanchez, 22, of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Grames-Sanchez died as a result of a vehicle accident in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on May 11, 2006.

Harting died in Samarra, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 42nd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on July 25, 2005.

Army CW2 Brian D. Hazelgrove, 29, of Edinburgh, Indiana.

Hazelgrove died when his OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter crashed on its way back from a combat mission near Mosul in northern Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 10th Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died on January 23, 2004.

Army Spc. Brian H. Penisten, 28, of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Penisten was on board a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter when it went down in Al Fallujah, Iraq. The cause of the incident is unknown and an investigation is underway. Penisten was assigned to Air Defense Artillery Battery, 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on November 2, 2003.

Smith died in Baghdad, Iraq when his humvee rolled over off the road, trapping him under and killing him instantly. He was assigned to D Company, 1st Battalion, 152nd Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard, based in Washington, Indiana. Died on November 23, 2003.

Smith died in a non-hostile vehicle accident in Kuwait when the HMMWV he was driving as part of a convoy to Camp Coyote in Kuwait struck a parked trailer. Navy Seaman Sheree Cannon, 20, of Baltimore, Maryland.

Cannon died of non-combat related causes. She was assigned to the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) Norfolk, Virginia. Died on October 25, 2003.

Marine Sgt. Alessandro Carbonaro, 28, of Bethesda, Maryland.

Carbonaro died at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, from wounds received while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Al Anbar province, Iraq, on May 1, 2006. He was assigned to 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on May 10, 2006.

Ceo died in Al Taji, Iraq while conducting convoy operations and an 18-wheel tractor trailer accidentally struck the rear of his HMWWV, starting a fire and causing ammunition to detonate. Marine Cpl. Jason David Mileo, 20, of Centreville, Maryland.

Killed after being mistaken for an enemy soldier. Emergency personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene, but Mileo died on site in the vicinity of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on April 14, 2003.

Army Spc. George A. Mitchell, 35, of Rawlings, Maryland.

Died of wounds received from an enemy rocket attack south of Baghdad. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Infantry Division, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on April 7, 2003.

Army 1st Lt. Adam G. Mooney, 28, of Cambridge, Maryland.

Mooney was listed as duty status unknown on January 25, 2004 in Mosul, Iraq, when his helicopter went down in the Tigris River during a search for a missing soldier. His remains were recovered on February 14, 2003. Mooney was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Aviation (Fort Drum), however, in support of mission requirements, he was attached to 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York.

Army Staff Sgt. James L. Pettaway, Jr., 37, of Baltimore, Maryland.

Pettaway died in Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, of injuries sustained in Fallujah, Iraq, on August 27, 2004 when he was involved in a motor vehicle accident. He was assigned to 223rd Transportation Company, Army Reserve, Norristown, Pennsylvania. Died on October 3, 2004.

Army CWO Patrick Dorff, 32, of Minnesota.

Dorff's helicopter went down in the Tigris River during a search after four soldiers' watercraft capsized. His remains were recovered on January 29. Dorff was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Aviation (Fort Drum); however, in support of mission requirements, he was attached to the 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Died on January 25, 2004.

Marine Capt. Nathanael J. Doring, 31, of Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Wilson was on board a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter when it went down in Al Fallujah, Iraq. The cause of the incident is unknown and an investigation is underway. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Died on November 2, 2003.

Bertoldie was thrown from the military vehicle he was driving in Fallujah, Iraq when an explosive device was detonated underneath. Bertoldie was assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 4-64 Armor Battalion, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on July 18, 2003.

Army Sgt. Travis L. Burkhardt, 26, of Edina, Missouri.

Burkhardt was part of an escort mission when the vehicle he was in hit a curb along the road and rolled over in Baghdad, Iraq. Burkhardt was assigned to 170th Military Police Company, Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on June 6, 2003.

Givens was parked in an M-1 main battle tank alongside the bank of the Euphrates River in Al Habbaniyah, Iraq. The riverbank gave way resulting in the tank falling into the river. Givens was assigned to 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on May 1, 2003.

Army Sgt. 1st Class Richard S. Gottfried, 42, of Lake Ozark, Missouri.

Gottfried died in Tampa, Iraq, when struck by an improvised explosive device. Gottfried was assigned to the 1st Division Support Command, 1st Infantry Division, Kitzengen, Germany. Died on March 9, 2004.

Killed in action after his convoy was ambushed in Iraq on March 23, 2003. He was assigned to the 507th Maintenance Company, Fort Bliss, Texas.

Army Sgt. Charles T. Wilkerson, 30, of Kansas City, Missouri.

Wilkerson died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an unknown ordnance detonated near his tent. He was assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on May 22, 2005.

Arndt died in Kirkuk, Iraq, as a result of a vehicle accident during convoy operations. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 163rd Cavalry Troop, 116th Brigade Combat Team, 42nd Infantry Division, Missoula, Montana. Died on September 21, 2005.

Marine Cpl. Phillip E. Baucus, 28, of Wolf Creek, Montana.

Baucus died while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on July 29, 2006.

Marine Pfc. Andrew D. Bedard, 19, of Missoula, Montana.

Bedard died from an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). Died on October 4, 2005.

Bloem died when his amphibious Assault Vehicle was attacked by an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations south of Haditha, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Force Reserve's 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Billings, Montana. Died on August 3, 2005.

Army Staff Sgt. Aaron N. Holleyman, 26, of Glasgow, Montana.

Holleyman died in Khutayiah, Iraq, when his military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on August 30, 2004.

Army Capt. Michael J. Mackinnon, 30, of Helena, Montana.

Mackinnon died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during convoy operations. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on October 27, 2005.

Army Sgt. 1st Class Robbie D. McNary, 42, of Lewistown, Montana.

McNary died in Hawijah, Iraq, from injuries sustained while performing combat operations. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 163rd Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Missoula, Montana. Died on March 31, 2005.

Marine Cpl. Dean P. Pratt, 22, of Stevensville, Montana.

Pratt died due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on August 2, 2004.

Army Pfc. Owen D. Witt, 20, of Sand Springs, Montana.

Witt died in Ad Dawr, Iraq, when his HMMWV rolled over. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on May 24, 2004.
