"Joshua was the very first friend I made in the Army, we met on the plane headed to Korea by way of Tokyo. I will never forget our first days in Korea, it was such an adventure. It utterly broke my heart when I read of his death from the barracks over there. It still breaks my heart to this day. If any of his family members see this, email me @ londonscout370@yahoo.co.uk, I've got stories to share that aren't quite right for this forum, and I've got some photographs of us from that time."

"Thinking of you today! It's hard to believe it has been 10 years today that I last spoke with you but I still miss your voice, your easy smile, and the way you always made a bad situation better. Give Nathaniel my love!"

"My cousin Josh, I was just looking around and found this website. It is weird that I found this just days before the 8th year of your passing. Every Sunday Grandma Iwalani would sing church songs with us and your favorite song would be...Gonna Have a grand time, up in heaven, Gonna have a grand time up in heaven, have a grand time. Walking with the angels, singing Hallelujah!(you-->HALLELUJAH!) Gonna Have a grand time up in heaven, have a grand time.
My memories of Josh was that he was always dirty and always drooling or slobbering but he was my BEST DIRTY, DROOLING, SLOBBERING COUSIN I EVER HAD! lol Miss and love you!"

"I miss your smile!"

"Hey Joushua, I know its late and I have lived with a guilt for many years. Because i know i was the one who encouarged you to join the millitary. You had a rough childhood only because you were full of energy that no one wanted to deal with. I admire you because you were able to out grow the differences that you were labled with. Farewell Josh until we mee again"

"My dearest friend Josh,
I remember when I first met you, you fell out of a VERY tall tree on your butt and was screaming that you "broke your butt". From that day I knew we'd be good friends, and we were. Me and you and Robin and Tennisen were all pertners in crime and it was such a blast. We moved away, and I thought I would never see you again but you found me. You moved away and I never saw you again. Then I found out that you were in the military and I was so proud. Still am. You gave your life for your country, and I am so proud of you. Your son, whom I would still LOVE to meet and tell him all the crazy stories of when we were young, he's a lucky boy to have your blood running through his veins. I love and miss you very much.
P.S. Thanks for the great times and great memories, I will treasure them forever."

I have to give all the credit to your mother Mrs. Elizabeth Kauilani Titcomb for all the makings of molding you into the beautiful person and selfless human being you became. "My friend Titcomb,

I Know the true circumstances of the situation on that fateful evening. I have stuffed it down for the last two and a half years and have seen psychologists and psyciatrists over the last half year trying to deal with what your crew told me about what really happened. Rest peaceful knowing that I will ensure that those responsible will be held accountable. It has taken me this long just to tell one person what I had learned, and now I feel that I will not stop until the truth is revealed. You are in my dreams each night; and in my thoughts each day. you are sorely missed. My prayers to your family that you loved so much; Your fiancee that was never your wife; Your child that you never held; and all the other friends that miss you as much as I do."

"To the family of Joshua Titcomb:

My name is Harold Thomas. I am a retired church of Christ minister. My great grandfather's name was Z. D. Titcomb. I don't know if we are related or not - but we are Americans and that is enough. I consider Joshua K. Titcomb one of America's finest young men even though I never had the opportunity to meet him. Every Sunday at the small church I attend we pray for our young men and women in the arm services. We have prayed for you and for Joshua. And we will continue to pray for you. He was a brave and honorable young man who gave his all for his country and for the cause of freedom. God bless and keep you."

"It's no wonder that so many people loved you. You turned your high energy of life into a gift for this nation, and the people of Iraq.

It was an honor to watch your transformation from boy, to man, to hero.

May your life inspire those that despair... that they may understand just how far a man can raise himself with determination and effort.

Your sacrifice will be remembered by all who knew you, and by two grateful nations."

"I don’t believe that we understand all that you gave, or how your sacrifice will affect the future for our sons or daughters. I believe you confronted the evil that has enslaved mankind throughout history, the same evil that many American soldiers have confronted in many battles.

I will teach my son and daughter of your sacrifice and your heroism.
