"Elden,
I didnt know you as well as I did SSG Morris, but, I was there at Ft Carson when you were first assigned to our unit, 360th (BACKBONE), I was there for all of your pre-deployment training and was there when you left for Iraq. I followed you to Iraq a month later and though I didnt work with you on a daily basis and was stationed on a different FOB where you were going when you made ur last run, I remember you everyday, and everyday until the day I die. My heart goes out to your family, God Bless. Backbone!!!!"

"To the family of PFC Arcand,
My husband Sgt. Ryan Meeks serviced with him in Iraq. He was on mission with him with Elden made the ultimate sacrifice. My husband remembers him often. We got him a rememberence bracelet with PFC Arcand's information. I was at the memorial service in Colorado and I pray for your family often. My family will always remember Elden and his sacrifice. My husband, Ryan Meeks now has advanced stage 4 colorectal cancer. I like the thought that if the Lord takes my husband home that Elden will be there waiting on him."
