HEY CHRIS, THINKING OF YOU TODAY!! LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!"
Brandi Ramagos of Batchelor, La

"Yesterday I surfed the net to find the name if a fallen hero. I only wanted to honor someone by placing their name on my Facebook page on memorial. I chose the name Christopher Ramsey only because he grew up near New Roads La where I grew up. Little did I know that Chris was known and loved by many people near and dear to me including my mom. I'm soo happy that God lead me to Chris on that day. I will always honor his sacrifice to our great country. I never personally served with Chris but I know that I'm a better Sergeant because of troops like him."
TSgt Derrick Carter of New Orleans La.

"I just wanted to say thank you. You gave the ultimate sacrific one can give and at such a young age. I was in traffic earlier this week and on the truck it said "my son died protecting our country" so I wanted to research and learn about a name that might not have been mentioned all over the news ike thousands of other brave men and women but I want you to know Im thankful. So proud! God Bless!"

"Three days ago was the five year anniversary of the worst day of my life. I found out that my team was killed. I couldn't and still can't wrap my mind around losing three young men who were so full of life.
Ramsey was such a cut up. He always made me laugh even when things were about as crappy as they could get. For Christmas, I gave him some black and milds, a lighter and red bull. I wrapped it in Christmas paper and let him open it Christmas morning. He hugged me and said that it was the best present he had ever gotten. It was all so fun and light hearted at the time. It was just us being silly to lighten the mood. Now it is one of my favorite memories of him. The world is such an empty place without him."

"My name is Lance Kilmer and I was one of the Aero-vac medics that carried Spc Ramsey out of Iraq. We were on a mission picking up injured soldiers and in addition to that we had the honor of participating in the transfer of Chris. It was an experience that I will take with me for the rest of my life. After we had loaded our patients the vehicle carrying Chris's remains in the transfer case with the flag draped over arrived. Every person on the aircraft stood and formed lines on either side of the C-130. The honor guard called to attention and the rest of us followed suit. Every person on the aircraft stood at attention and saluted as the honor guard brought Chris onboard. After his transfer case was set down a minister said some words and there were tears in the eyes of every person present ( and me right now writing this). I sat right next to Chris the entire flight and although I never met him in life I felt it only right that he gave his life so he deserved my attention and upmost respect. I guess the reason I'm writing this is to let everyone who knew chris that even though we were in a war zone risking injury ourselves everyone stopped and paid him the respect and honor he deserved for his sacrifice. I later bought a fallen hero bracelet with his name and have never taken it off. To his family My heart felt sorrow for your loss and my apologies for the tardiness of this message. I didn't know him but I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM."
SSgt Kilmer of new york

"If Tears Could Build A Stairway

If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again.

No farewell words were spoken.
No time to say "Goodbye".
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.

My heart still aches with sadness,
and secret tears still flow
What it meant to love you-
No one can ever know.

But now I know you want me
to mourn for you no more.;
To remember all the happy times,
life still has much in store

Since you'll never be forgotten.
I pledge to you today-
A hollowed place within my heart
is where you'll always stay."

""I opened my eyes and saw you here-
Your face was dirty and filled with tears.

You said not to worry that you did't go alone-
There were angels all around waiting to carry you home.

And when you got to the pearly white gates-
Our heavenly Father was there to tell you your fate.

He said, "Come my son, and take a seat"-
"You have done your time on those worn out feet."

And so he came through to the shining light-
And got what he was promised for living right.

The site was amazing; the angels were so carefree-
"No pain and sorrow here, my son, only the angels and me."

"You served your country, you did your best-
Eternally you are granted peace and rest."

"Your family will be sad, but they soon will understand-
For noone can control what is out of their hands."

"It was time for me to call you home-
You see I needed your help to guard my throne."

And now I'm in a better place-
I'm guarding our father's heavenly gates.

So you see my love, you musn't cry-
Afterall, I wasn't alone when I died."

""THE FINAL INSPECTION

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell""

"Mr. & Mrs. Ramsey, my prayers are with your family, I can never know the grief & loss your family is suffering. I pray that God gives you comfort. Know that Chris is a hero as those who has served & ultimately sacrificed their lives for our great country. I think of him as my 17 y/o daughter, Caina, embarks on the same journey he has, this coming July. Our children are our most precious gift. My daughter, like Chris, has a yearning to protect freedom & fully believes in what they're doing. He will always be honored. Just know your family is being prayed for. I pray many blessings & comfort for you & your family & those closest to him that he left behind. God Bless you all."

"Chris-
Although I never got to know you personally, spending time with your family has made me realize who you where here, and you are most likely still are in heaven. I takes a lot for someone to truly speak his mind especially in the situation you were in over there, but I want to let you know through all my thoughts and prayers, you have made a difference for many soldiers and their families in this situation. Thank you so much, we love and miss you."
Jessica Wallace of Baton Rouge, LA

"Angie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family continuously. Your son paid the ultimate price for freedom and my family will never forget him. As my son said.. "Chris was a good friend to everyone around him".

SPC Christopher D. Ramsey of 178th Eng Bn, SC ARNG

"Christopher, you will never be forgotten. You were one of my son's chosen brothers who died with you on January 28th. My family will never forget how brave you, Jonathan, and Michael all were or what you died for. To Christopher's family my heart goes out to you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers."
Wynette S. Evans (Michael Scott Evans II's Mother) of Jacksonville, Florida

"Christopher will not be forgotten by the soldiers and their families of Co. B, 1088th Eng. Bn. He will always be with them and with us. He gave the greatest sacrifice - he died for our freedom and the freedom of those he didn't even know. How proud we are of our soldiers from the 1088th and what they have given to our country and to Iraq! Christopher, John and Michael will not be forgotten. They will remain in our thoughts and prayers always."
Rhonda Smith, wife of Sgt. Michael D. Smith of Denham Springs, LA

"My son described Christopher as the type of soldier that made you feel like a brother was there with you in battle. His sense of the brotherhood permeated his life as a soldier, and his fellow soldiers were always aware of that. As fierce a warrior as he was, he was also just as ready to take out a picture of his daughter, which then transformed the heat of the battle zone into an image of family. There were times when this was so important to our soldiers. To Angie and Jeff, know that our prayers for you express the deepest feelings of sadness for your loss. Our families drew close to each other during this journey, and I don't ever want us to lose that."
Tyler and Kim Martin - parents of Blaine Martin of the 1088th Co B of Baton rouge, LA.

"I am deeply sorry for your lost. My son is also in the 256. My son Sgt. You are not alone. I attend the FRG meetings. We all feel a loss. Our hearts and our prayers are with you. I hope you can find this a comfort.
