"Thinking about you today, Robert. It's been too long since we lost you but you have never been far from our hearts. Some days I get on a roll of sharing memories about you, how funny you were. That time we made a special dinner for your mom as a surprise after work. We made spaghetti and breadsticks and you all helped. You, Dusty and Stacy drew a menu, and you pretended to be the waiter with a towel on your arm! I'm grateful for every memory I hold in my heart and miss you more than I can express. We lost a funny, thoughtful, and talented man but your impact in your short time with us was unbelievable."

"Dear Madam,--

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

A. Lincoln"

"Murray it has been two years since you were called to Heaven and you are still greatly missed by all of your friends and family. I can't stop thinking about you lately. You never were able to see my daughter, but I know that you special picked her as soon as you got to heaven. Two weeks after you left this earth you sent my little angel baby to me. I wish so much that you could have met her. I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me. I miss you so much. Until we meet again...I will always keep you in my heart. Hey do you remember when we went to see the Austin Powers movie and you two couldn't stop laughing and then I started laughing because you guys wouldn't shut up and then 10mins later we are all still cracking up. Sometimes I can still here your hysterical laugh. You are still the man!"
