"We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence
We often speak your name.
Now all we have are memories
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part
God has you in His keeping
We have you in our Heart.

Patrick, it's been 6yrs today. I keep this poem with your picture. I think about you all the time. Everytime I go to my parents and pass by your house, everytime I look in the mirror I see your name in my tattoo. You were an amzing person, an amazing friend, and an amazing soldier. You truly were one of God's angels and I guess he needed you back by his side. I'll never forget riding to school with you, football games, talks in the court, parties at your house or mine, lunch at HCC, or your sweet laugh. I miss you everyday. Watch over us Pat!"
Jennifer of Baltimore (Pat's neighbor)

"To all of the people who have left such kind messages about our son Patrick...Thank You. On June 29, 2008 it will four years since we lost Patrick. As his parents we have received so many kind words. We also met with the President and Vice President and with the Marines Highest Ranking Officers who paid honor to our son Patrick. All of you who knew Patrick understand how much Patrick would not want so much being made over him. He was just our Patrick... But Patrick was a very special person who gave so much and ask for so little. We wish we had him sitting at our dinner table this evening. But life puts us on roads that we have little to say what direction it takes us. Our home is Patrick's home and it will always be home for Patrick. We believe he is here everyday. His dogs still lay on his bed waiting for him to come home...We still have a place at our dinner table for him. May God Bless each of you for your support and kind words about Patrick.
