"To the family of Daniel Cunningham,
My wife is a 3rd grade teacher at Eagle View Elementary School in Thornton Colorado. A few years ago the Cithy of Northglenn Colorado had a memorial in which they flew flags with the names of fallen service men and women on thier grounds. My wife received one of these flags as a gift from one of her parents which had the following message attached.
In grateful memory of U.S. Army Specialist Daniel Francis Cunningham Jr. who died on 4/4/2003 while defending liberty for you and me. We proudly fly this flag every national holiday in front of our home with the message still attached. God bless Daniel for his sacrifice and God bless you. Please feel free to contact me at rion_1@msn.com if you wish."

My teacher asked us to pick a person by our delight to do research on, and I chose your family member, Daniel Francis J. Cunningham, and I wish you all the best of times and I'm sorry this happened. We appreciate the service that Daniel did, and this experience has helped me understand the cost of war.

"I remember Danny as a little boy in our Cub Scout den (Den 4, Pack 171). It breaks my heart as I write this; he was a good Scout and, I am sure, an even better soldier and comrade. Thank you for your sacrifice."

"Danny and I were close friends in grade school. We lived in Tall Pines together and played street hockey and baseball together. When my family moved to Auburn, Danny would spend the night at my house. During the sleep-overs, Danny and I would play more hockey, gorge ourselves on Sam’s pizza, and pretend we were college roommates. I’ll never forget Danny’s easy smile, warm laughter, or that little cowlick he had. We eventually fell out of touch but I’ve often wondered what became of one of my favorite childhood friends. In April of ’03, Google returned my query for Danny with tragic information. I am sad, but I am also very proud. The pain of my sadness is partially blunted knowing that Danny grew up to be the good person that I knew he always was. God bless you, Danny Cunningham. Thank you for your dedication and service to our country. My prayers are with you and your family."
Christopher S. Rosin of Boca Raton, FL

At the rising of the sun and at its going down, We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter, We remember them.
At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring, We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer, We remember them.
At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn, We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends, We remember them.

for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
Rest in Peace Dear Soldier!! We will NEVER FORGET!"
