"Hey, Dad it's been a while since you pass and not a day has gone by without me thinking how my life will be if I had you in it. I wish we had more memories together but everything happens for a reason. I'm growing up now , I'm fifteen. Your oldest daughter. I know you're watching over me and proud of the women I'm becoming. You served your part for our country and nobody will ever forget that. When I heard the news , my mom was watching the news and saw your name. When they called me in there to tell me the bad news I couldn't do anything but cry. I love you with all my heart and doing everything for you. I Love you forever and always , I'll see you eventually daddy."
Jakayla McSwain of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

"SFC Mac, I miss you man. I remember you coaching us during boxing lessons like it was yesterday! I broke Acosta's nose, LMAO, then you made me box a little scrappy medic to even things up. I'm honored to have served with you in the 82nd. "Strike Hold""

He and I were a year apart and to tell you the truth he had a hand in helping me take my first steps when I was a baby. :) Never in a million years would I think that he would not be present in our lives today, but we remember the good times. Laughing, playing when we were kids. I thank you all for sharing."
