"I love you, brother and think of you often. I served with Ryan in Iraq. THe most vivid memory I have is standing next to him and putting my arm around him just before his last patrol and telling him that we would be home soon. I was also injured a few days after him and was sent home so I think of hime almost daily. To the Cummings family, I will never forget, nor let my family or any other Marine that I influence forget the sacrifice that Ryan madefor his brothers on a daily basis. His dedication and love for his fellow MArines saved lives and had a profound impact on those who served with him. Love you brother, and Semper fi!!"

"To the Family of Cpl. Ryan Cummings:
We have constructed a memorial to the service men and women from Wisconsin and Illinois who have died in Iraq. Our memorial includes, as of 8/28/06, 162 crosses and Stars of David. We would like your permission to put Ryan's name on one of them. We have called our display "Arlington MidWest." It is our expression of mourning for the indescribable loss you have suffered for our country.

If you would like us to do this, please email me at arlingtonmidwest@yahoo.com.

We invite you to come to visit Arlington MidWest if you can. A friend has put us up on his website so you can see the memorial here:

"I just heard your interview on Laura Imgrams show. God Bless you and your family and to your son for his Ultimate Sacrifice for this country. Our Grandson is also in the Marines and spent his entire time in Iraq in the Anbar Province. He said that every day he thought he wouldn't survive as the terrorist activity never let up. Our prayers were answered when he came home. He made it physically Ok, but not so good mentally. The road back on that is a long one for all of them that did survive. Maybe one day the MSM will wake up and support our Military instead of always trying to find fault. If they don't they will be part of the reason we may lose this war with Islam. Once again thank you for Honoring your Son and his sacrifice by supporting Our country. Our Prayers our with you."
