"Hello,
Today I drove to Billings, Montana, from Worland, Wyoming, for a Memorial Day gathering. One of the things we did in honoring our war dead was the reading of those from Montana who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to Country and Freedom. As the names were read, we placed a flower in a basket at the end of the stage. I had the honor to leave one for Robbie. My war was Vietnam and I was both enlisted Army and commissioned Air Force, later retired on disability due to a training injury. Neither Robbie nor any other Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine, will be forgotten. We, as a Nation, owe them all a debt we can never repay. Again, it was an honor to leave a flower for Robbie. I am certain God has a special place in His Heart and His Kingdom for all those through the years who have given "even their very lives" in defense of God and Country.
"Eye has not seen nor ear heard nor has mind conceived what the Father has prepared for those who love Him." (1 Corin. 2:9)
God Bless,
Gene"

"“It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier,
Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.”

To SFC Robbie McNary
Thank you soldier for defending our freedoms. Your deeds have made America safer and we are deeply grateful to you. You are our hero and we will remember you each day we raise our flag in the front yard. From a very grateful American family.
