"It was of my greatest memories running around town, playing basketball, and cruising the strip in Kanawha City. Myself and Greg Griffith were friends, and I myself, will never forget Bobbie, and our days at Nitro High School- a time filled with tremendous memories and life experiences. Rest In Peace Bobbie. We will never forget you."

"Dear Bob; I will never forget the unique friendship that bound us as Veterans, Scout Leaders, Fathers and brothers in Christ. I remember often the coffee we shared at scout camps and in the kitchen at Lafayette Baptist Church. I cannot believe its been 10 years since your passing. I will not forget my son John becoming emotional and caught up in the news of your passing. He was 15 and I saw him grow up that day. I know you would be proud of Cathy & Zack as they too miss you more each passing day. I see them often and hug them and reach out to shake Zacks hand. Be proud Pop! I plan on stopping in over at the ASOM facility on Saturday on the 26th and view the memorial paver placed in your memory and HONOR. I hope they will let a Air Force old timer like me in the gates to pay respects to you and your brothers and sisters in arms. Put in a good word for me, Frederick J. Curley USAF, (We still try to put the Air in Airborne) HOOAH"

"ssg robert f. white, not a day goes by that i dont think of ssg white at least 5 times. i did funeral detail with him before we went to afghanistan. i really enjoyed the conversations we had on those long boring drives in that blue van. why does god take the great ones and leave the ones who dont deserve it or take advantage of it even scorn it. it being life. it was an honor and a pleasure having served with and known ssg bob white. i will truly miss him always."

"SSG Robert White was my first Squad Leader when I joined the Army in 1996. He taught me so many things but one thing in particular was how to be a great Soldier. I am still in the Army today because of this great Non Commissioned Officer. One thing that I will always remember about Bob was his ability to do PT and sleep with a DIP in his mouth and when i tried to quit dipping he would always tell me that no one likes a quitter. You will truly be missed. Cathy and Zach I am so sorry for your loss"

To the many friends of Ranger White. I have been blessed to get to meet several of my husbands fellow soldiers and friends. He was loved by so many people. Sgt. E. I hope you check back in. I am guessing that you are the same Sgt E. that we served with in Hawaii. I had no way of getting in touch with you. I wanted to get word to as many of Bob's fellow soldier's but as you know it is hard to find people some times. Zach and I miss Bob everyday. There is not ten minutes that goes by in a day that I don't think about him. Zach is getting ready to graduate from High School and he is getting ready to be awarded his Eagle Scout Rank. Both of these events will be very difficult for our Family. Bob was Zach's Scout Master and the two of them were very close. We also lost Bob'b brother on Feb. 12, 2008. He was 23. You may write me at BCZWhite@aol.com. Thank you for caring and for remembering Bob. He really loved you!"

"Bob was a man among men. I hope I am not to late, but there are things I must say and I would like to talk to the parents/family of Bob. Bob and I walked a lot of the same ground and chewed a lot of the same fat. We were together at Fort Bragg, and if he ever mentioned SGT E, well, that is me. Hopefully, a member of Bob's family will respond to this and we will be able to set aside time to talk."
