"I served with Corporal Derek Stanley and he was a very dedicated soldier. In what little conversations we had I knew he was a good man, and someone to be trusted. He believed in what we are fighting for over there, and I am glad to have met him. I will never forget his service to this country and our company as a soldier, and to the family and friends of Derek Stanley I will keep you in my prayers."
SPC Levandowski of Muskegon, MI

"If you are able,
save them a place
inside of you
and save one backward glance
when you are leaving
for the places they can
no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say
you loved them,
though you may
or may not have always.
Take what they have left
and what they have taught you
with their dying
and keep it with your own.
And in that time
when men decide and feel safe
to call the war insane,
take one moment to embrace
those gentle heroes
you left behind.
"Major Michael Davis O'Donnell
1 January 1970
Dak To, Vietnam."
America has been built on the blood
of Heros and Brave Men of Honor.
Thank you for your service and my
freedom.. May God bring comfort
to your loved ones.
You shall never be forgotten by
a grateful nation.""
