"For some reason you are on my mind today. You were such a funny guy. You looked so mean by that was only to those that didn't know you. I thank you for your service and your generosity. To the family, my comfort for your loss. I know to me he was Chris, but to you he was so so much more. I know it doesn't get easier, we just learn to manage the pain. God is in control and his healing power is on you."

We couldn't stay out of trouble in that class and she would always tell us one of us would have to work in another class, but she never done it lol....we would read all the letters the teacher took from the students and would be in tears...you always had a smile on your face and you will forever be missed. Happy Veterans Day my friend ❤️"

"IN MEMORY of
MICHAEL LEHMILLER, BLAKE HALL, JOSHUA HYLAND, CHRISTOPHER PALMER 8/21/05

REMEMBER ME AND THINK OF MY BROTHERS

Remember me in the morning when you wake,
Think of my brothers and the chances they take.

Remember me when sunlight shines in your eyes,
Think of my brothers, for today another will die.

Remember me when the moon shows its face,
Think of my brothers and upon them pray for Gods grace.

Remember me when the snow begins to fall,
Think of my brothers and how they give their all.

Remember me when songbirds begin to sing,
Think of my brothers and how they make freedom ring.

Remember me when fireworks light the sky at night,
Think of my brothers and respect the reasons for which they fight.

Remember me when autumn leaves begin to fall, Think of my brothers, they need your support most of all.

Remember me in everything you do,
Think of my brothers, welcome them home and say thank you.

"Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. The following is something I was sent in an email. I hope it brings a smile to your face.

The Final Inspection
The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you ?
Have you always turned the other cheek ?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God
"Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.""
