"Dec. 11, 2009 I am Steven Mowris and I have waited until now to write to you. As Mowris's are not numerous or common I know somehow we are related. It was with great sorrow I read about Doug's sacrifice for our country and freedom. I would like to have met him and had our families together to share our lives and backgrounds. I offer you my deepest sorrow at your sacrifice as well. My wife and I live in Bois D'Arc and she works at Cox in Monett."

"To the Mowris family. My name is Scott Baker. I knew Doug through Church League Softball in Aurora, MO. When my parents told me back in 2004 that he was killed, I was in such shock like I'm sure that everybody else associated with him were at the time. Well I know that it is almost 2010, but I still want you to know that some of us "Will Never Forget." Doug is in heaven now, and I can't wait to throw around the softball and chat with him again. Your all still in our thoughts and prayers."

"Hello Mowris family. I pray that God has covered you in these years without SSG Mow. He was a wonderful man and I thank God that he gave him to us for a season. I was sitting here thinking of those that were lost in my life during this year's Memorial Day celebration and I thought about him and his family. God knows all things and he does things for a reason. The strength that has been bestowed upon his family would not have been as successful if SSG Mow had never made the sacrifice. I remember like yesterday the day and I realize that he did more than serve his country, he also served his troops. In this season I pray that God has covered you with his grace and mercy. May God continue to bless you because of what he has done for each of you and may he continue to strengthen you for the work that he has for each of you to do in the future. Keep your eyes on the prize, which is eternal life."
Minister (SGT) Clifton N. Williams of Rocky Mount, NC

""Military Police Corps Regimental Prayer"
By Chaplain Michael Yarman
Heavenly Father - We approach You today because You have called us to be a people of prayer.
We praise You because You are our Creator, our Redeemer and our Provider.
We acknowledge our great need for You as we fulfill our mission as soldiers.
We have been called to serve our nation as Military Police and we are proud of the honored heritage of the Regiment and our motto: Of the Troops and For the Troops.
Whether we are fighting an enemy, securing as area, patrolling the streets, or helping someone in distress, help us, O Lord, to always be men and women of integrity who can be counted on to do the right thing.
Give us the strength to stand for what is right and to oppose those who would do harm to our nation and the people we serve.
May we always be truthful in Word, Deed and Signature, and bring honor through our service to the memory of those in the Regiment who gave the supreme sacrifice for their country.
Guide us now, Father, by giving us wisdom and knowledge from on high, that as Military Police we will always be prepared to Assist, Protect and Defend."
Your family will always be in our prayers. We miss you!!"

"To the family and friends of Shawn Clemens,
We can only but pray that we will have the pleasure of meeting such a wonderful soldier as Shawn in that golden city. He along with our son Justin Scott and six other soldiers paid the ultimate price for our freedom and the freedom even of those who do not realize this. These men are now soldiers of a higher commander. They are now waiting for us to get ourselves right so that someday we’ll be together again. Than shall we know how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together.
All our love and prayers to the family and friends of this wonderful brave soldier, your son, our soldier. Please feel free to contact us at blscott@fuse.net"
