"I served with CSM Jallah I'm Afghanistan. He was a great mentor and a friend. I remember trying to setup the Armed Forces Television satellite dish and couldn't make it work. I left to go check on something and came back and he has it working and watching TV on the roof. I was so dumbfounded. He had many skills. You are missed"

"I had the honor of SFC Jallah being my first platoon sergeant after graduating from AIT. I served with him in Armament Platoon, A Company 127th ASB, Hanau, GE (94-66). During the deployment to Hungary he was promoted and became the company 1SG. He was always tough on his old platoon, but it taught us how to become better Soldiers. 1SG Jallah loved his family and always put the Soldier’s needs above his own. From one armament dawg to another - he will be greatly missed."

"I had the honor of serving with CSM Jallah as a young soldier in the Armament Platoon, C/227th AVN. He was a man of great character who always had a word of encouragement to those that needed it. I found this announcement while compiling a list of warriors for a reunion and there will be a place for my friend there and any other fallen heroes I find in my search. They will be missed, but we all have great stories to share from their time with us."

"”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Over 1,800 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have some wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and only want you know that we care.
Contact us directly at Projectcompassion@manti.com or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.

I served with your husband as a member of the 127 ASB in Hanua GMBH. I deployed with him to Bosnia in support of Operation Joint Endevor as a member of Shops Platoon. I have many memories of your husband. The one that is most memorable was on a PT test were he ran behind me pushing me to the fastest run time I ever achieved. He loved to run and loved to push you to achieve your full potential.
I am truly sorry for your lose. I can assure you that your husband is responsible for the sucess of many young soldiers and he will truly be missed."

"Rest in peace and godspeed my friend

Dennis and I served side by side in more than one unit. We rose up the ranks together for a while when were served in the Armament shop at E co 1st Avn in Ft Riley and although we were in separate units at Ft. Hood and Hanau Germany we were great friends and had great family times at Belton lake on Ft. Hood. I'll never forget the day when both Dennis and I took a pregnant single soldier to the hospital on Ft. Riley. We both stayed there for PFC Johnson to have her baby. After the birth the Dr came out and much to Dennis's (and my) astonishment was asked if he was the father! LoL!

He was an outstanding Soldier and an even greater friend. Dennis you will be sorely missed.

"Command Sergeant Major Dennis Jallah was my partner in command of A Co., 127th Aviation Support Battalion back in 1997. I've served with a number of platoon sergeants, first sergeants and command sergeants major, yet Dennis was the very best of all of them. He was smart, strong and loyal in a way I could not describe. He was small in stature, but extemely large in spirit. He loved his family and was rightly proud of them. He loved the Army and Soldiers too, and I can tell all of you who knew him that he was totally unafraid to come to me, close the door and fight tooth and nail for what he knew was right for Soldiers. He taught me much and I was proud to learn from him. I saw him last at Fort Rucker in 2003 as I was heading off to battalion command and he to be a CSM in 10th Mtn Div. We shared a meal and talked about our families and our good time together in 1AD as partners. My last moment with him was a firm handshake, a quick embrace and a "thank you" for all he had done for me and the Army. Florence: be proud of this very fine man and Soldier. I know you miss him, as do all who had the honor to serve with him and call him a friend. I hope to leave half his legacy. Wings of the Workhorse (Alpha Battalion!)"
Colonel Richard Koucheravy of Wash., DC
