"Hey SGT High, I served with you in Ft. Bragg in the winter of 2003 for MOS school. We were labeled the Boat bunnies because of our prior service. I just wanted to say that I had a great time with you watching movies and playing spades to pass the time by. My prayers are with you and your family. You are a Hero to many, including my Jarhead husband and my self. May you rest peacefully. God Bless You. Thank you for the sacrafice you made to our country. You will never be forgotten."

"The selfless service and sacrifice Stephen made makes all of us who had the honor of knowing him proud. The Stephen I knew had a true servant's heart and a love for his fellow soldiers and his country. His picture now hangs on the Wall of Honor at the local VFW hall and everyone who enters this building will see Stephen's picture and be reminded of the price he paid to help keep us free. Rest with God now my brother. We shall meet again one day."
