"It's been 18 years today. I love him as much today as I did the day he was born. He will be forever in our hearts. We honor him every day. On this day as we have done every year on this day, I new flag will be raised at his grave site. Friends and family still to this day gather at the cemetery to remember and honor him with their presence. My son will never be forgotten by this little town he grew up in."

"To the family and friends of my good friend Blake,
I do not go a singe day without thinking of SPC Hall. he was a great asset to our unit and our group of brothers I only wish I would have found this site earlier so I could tell more to all of you.
Blake used to come to my home and watch my kids before we left. I was his squad leader and at the time of the Explosion I was his PLT SGT. HE was a memorable young man and I work hard every day to remember him and to do what I can to bring his light hearted and upbeat way about him to the work I am still doing in the US ARMY.
I wish I was better with words but in short and the best thing I can say is I want you to know that my children are growing up knowing the name Blake W Hall along with the names of the others who were there that day and the type of men they were will live on.
Thank you for allowing me to serve with your great son, brother, family member, and friend. I owe you a great bit for that for I will always be a better soldier, Man, and father for knowing him.

"To the Family of Blake Hall,
On 9/11/08, my young son and daughter asked to wear red, white and blue to school in honor of Patriots' Day. I asked them to tell me about Patriots' Day and, to my dispair, their knowledge was limited. We sat down after dinner that evening and talked of the horrible events of 9/11 and the fact that there are bad people in the world who want to kill Americans just because we are Americans. We spoke of freedom, of the good fortune we have to have been blessed American, and of the great sacrifices our soldiers and their families are making on our behalf in the War on Terror.
We then each purchased Hero bracelets in honor of three fallen American Heroes. I am honored and humbled to be wearing Blake's bracelet.
Thank you for Blake and for supporting his bravery in defense of our country. Please know I think of him -- and of all those he left behind -- each and every day, and how different all our lives would be without his courageous sacrifice.
God Bless you all."

"To the Family Of Blake Hall,
Although it's been almost three years I still remember Blake vividly. I remember how much he looked and acted like my youngest brother. I never saw him get upset over the mundane "Army" stuff we had to do, he was just happy to have the opportunity to do something that he felt was right. Blake was the example of what anyone should strive to be in a human being. Blake, my brother, not a day goes by that I don't remember."

"Dear Hall family and East Prairie,
One of the biggest honors of my year was to end up in East Prairie on business the day Blake was buried. As soon as I drove in from the west, it dawned on me what was happening. An entire town was stopping to honor its fallen son. I took the rest of the day off and joined the miles-long throng as Blake's body and then his family, military guests, and friends drove by. I was across the street from the elementary school. Someone gave me a flag and I cried on that street as I thanked the Lord for Blake and for the family and town that offered him in the cause of freedom and goodness.
I have a daughter just a couple years older than Blake who is serving in a different place. She was working in the office of Vice President Cheney for Lewis "Scooter" Libby. They are two of the men who have had the vision to see that this awful war must be fought if our way of life--if Western Civilization--is to survive. It has been hard for us in a different way.
But it is your sacrifice that I honor. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Hall family and East Prairie. May the Lord return to you a hundredfold what you have given up in this young man's life."
Mike Woelk of Cape Girardeau
"As a mom of five young children, I am so grateful for the sacrifice of this brave, young solder Blake W. Hall. You are loved by many. Words can not express the emotion. He payed the ultimate price for our freedom and the freedom of so many other people who suffered under the rule of Sadaam. May God be with his family in this time of sorrow and may you find comfort in the fact that we think about Blake's sacrifice for the love of his country. May we NEVER forget! Thank you!"

"We would like to thank Blake for being our childrens hero. Because of him he has helped keep these bad people from bombing our schools, malls, fairgrounds and many other places. In our eyes he is a HERO. I know that does not take the hurt away. But we are so proud of him!! We Love you!!"

"Everyone always said Blake was "a good kid." He was a sweet boy who grew into a fine young man. Blake's decision to help protect America made family and friends proud. As we, along with his family, mourn his loss and know he'll be sorely missed, it helps just a little bit to realize that he is not really gone--he will live in our hearts and memories forever. Blake's family are good people. I worked with his dad and grandpa for years, and am proud to call them friends. To all the Hall family, please know that we "average Americans" truly appreciate your sacrifice. We pray that God will give you his comfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with you."
