"Words cannot express how much I appreciate what you did for your country. Unfortunately, I am unable to determine what kind of man you were, but knowing the kids that you've raised, Shea and Brennan, it is easily distinguishable that you were a loyal, brave, and honorable man. Shea is an outstanding Soldier deployed in Afghanistan at the moment. If i had to guess, he was never prouder of his father than he is today. Again, Mr. Goodnature, I appreciate what you did in honor of your country. May your soul rest in peace and your son be safe during his deployment."

"Corey was one of the great ones!....nothing else need be explained. I served with Corey when I was an Army Lt in 2-2 Avn from 95-96 and have many fond memories both in and out of the cockpit. Our paths crossed again when he was on a TF-160th recruiting trip to Ft. Wainwright and I was a company commander. I am now a USAF CSAR pilot and the world is too small as my brother who is a US Navy SEAL lost a friend in Lt. Michael Murphy on the same mission.
Corey my friend until we meet again God Bless and know you made a difference.

"I just got the word that goody was killed;I remember Corey when he was a PFC. He reported to the Special Warfare Center (Riggers) I could tell right away he was squared away and a good person! Corey and I went on a TDY mission, to Key West FL; early 90's. We had eight days to pack 10 parachutes. Which took us about an hour. After that we chartered a boat and did a days worth of deep sea fishing. Corey caught a big fish; I remember they cleaned for us, but we didn't have a place to cook it and ended up throwing it away. The next day we got on another boat and went Snorkeling. I remember us wacthing the Barracuda swiming under us; he had an underwater camera which was very shiney on his wrist. I told him to take it off before one of those bit his arm off. It was a great week for us! Shortly after that mission I left to another unit. I would see Goody once in a while here and there around Ft. Bragg. He always spoke of flying and he persued his dreams. You have to give him credit; because so many of us never do. God bless you Corey, and I pray that he watches over your family!"

"You and I went to the Parachute Rigger course together in "92". After you left for flight school, I always looked for you in the pilot's seat whenever I jump. I imagined you piloting our jump pass, with that big grin on your face. It took me a year to catch up to you in 2002. Luckily your uncle forwarded my message to you. After my tours in OEF, I've asked everyone I knew if they had heard from you. I came across this web page dedicated to you. Thank you to the one who made this available because it's the only way I knew where you were...still in the sky without landing for fuel. My heart goes out to the friends who knew you. A special thank you to your family, for giving me a chance to call you my Friend. When I hear the sound of a distance chopper, I'll always remember you and smile."

"To friends and family of Corey; those who knew him would say he was the easygoing lifeblood of the current situation. Corey was one of my W01’s in 1995 with his first tour as a huey driver in Korea, Charlie Company 2-2 Aviation. He was a stitch to be around and always wanted to be in the middle of everything. The quick wit and laughter that surrounded him couldn’t hide the professionalism he carried to each trooper he touched. I’m loving life was the last email I got from him in December of 03 prior my deployment to OIF I. It was a crushing blow to realize losing him due to his death at the pinnacle of his flight career with the 160th as a CW3, MH-47 driver. Corey you will be sorely missed but never forgotten. You had the uncanny ability to bring out the best in all and it was an honor to serve with you. Charlie Company 2-2 Aviation Regiment, Command Aviation Platoon. "Corey,
You were my inspiration to fly. We met in Korea in '95 when you could still fly a Huey single pilot and I worked in the motorpool. I will never forget the effort you made to give me and my soldiers a ride. Thanks dude, you will never be forgotten. Your sacrafice is respected and will always be honored."

May God be with his family in this time of sorrow and may you find comfort in the fact that we think about Corey's sacrifice for the love of his country. May we NEVER forget! Thank you!"
