To honor the Memory of Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Falkel: I now keep a picture of Chris close-by to remind me of who a hereo really is. Because this word "hero" has been so cheapened from over-use as of late. I know that Chris must have felt he was just doing the Job he was supposed to be doing, and that it is an odds-on bet that He would not consider himself to be a hereo. But what he did defines heroism. IMHO. I will always keep my picture of him close; so young, so proud, so brave, so competent. And I will remember him and honor him to the end of my days."

"I was in Chris' hut during BNCOC while at Camp MacKall. I used to kid around by calling him, "Faulker". He took it all with a great sense of humor. I remember Chris talking about his car, and my feeling that these new S.F. Babies like Chris were a good thing for Special Forces and this country. Throughout the course, I'd run across him and it was like being reunited with a good friend. When I get home, I'd like to forward some pictures of our team and Chris. If his family can contact me I'll send copies: dominicano762@yahoo.com

"To the Family of Christopher M. Falkel, Debby and I wish to express our deepest condolence for his loss. As an active duty service family of over 22 years we know that Military life is not just a job, but in many ways a "Calling" that we Thank God many Young Americans answer. You can be Proud of the way he lived his life, knowing that he died for what he believed in. In the words of Gen Patton “It’s better to fight for something in life than to die for nothing.” We pray for your loss and wish your heart felt pain would dull with the passage of time. Take Care, All the Way!"
