"Coming up on 10 years since you left. I vist you at least once a year to say Hi, and to let you know that we are all doing ok. We may be getting older here on earth, but your youth and vitality keeps a spring in our step. When we, your fellow soldiers, put you in the ground, the very nice grounds keeper said that he had never saw that in his 20+ years working the graves of the fallen. It was my highest honor, and my saddest duty Lisa. We miss you. Love, SSG Gray, 1st PLT, 3rd SQD"

"Out of all the soldiers in our unit when we went to ntc you took care of me when no one else would, not because you had to, because you wanted to. Til this day not a day goes by that I dont think about the day me and the others lowered your casket in the ground. The tears that come to me because you were a friend and family all in one. You will always be missed and loved"

"I really don't know how to express what I want to say. I served with Lisa overseas and got to know her best in our mobilization phase of deployment. She was beautifull in every since of the word. I hope that heaven does exist, b/c i know she fits right in as an angel. The reason I right this is b/c I hear certain songs that were played at her memorial service and i think of her. Your very much loved. And to her family, know that your daughter was and still is in all of our hearts"

"My heart goes out to you, both as a parent and as the spouse of a soldier deployed to Iraq. It does not matter if a soldier falls on foreign soil or here in their homeland. The fact that they were willing to step up and defend their country makes them a hero,, I am currently writing a book of poems ,letters from families, to soldiers, and from soldiers to families. It would be an honor to share memories of your loved one. The book will be non profit and all proceeds will go to the families of our troops for whatever they may need. God Bless and hold you. jude floyd 2 frremont rd. chester NH 03036"

"They wear the uniform
Proud and true
They protect our Nation
For me and you.
They give of themselves
So unselfishly
They leave their homes
And their families
They are on foreign soil
In a foreign land
Our men and women
Who are taking a stand
They are on guard
Day and night
They are weary for sleep
But prepared to fight
They see death and destruction
In this war torn place
But its all worth the effort
When they see a smiling face
They remember why they are there
Through all the sadness and sorrow
Its to ensure for the children
A better tomorrow
May god keep and protect the men and women who have chosen to protect us and our nation...""

"Lisa Andrews died while serving her country. Non combat deaths are part of the price that an Army pays in order to stay in the battle. This soldier payed that price so people across America, indeed the world can live safer.
I know that my family, my kids are so because of soldiers like Lisa Andrews."
