"Today I remember my good friend Willey. It was an honor sharing beers and laughs at Ft. Bragg and I will always remember the last time I saw him in Baghdad. Always with his charming smile. I will forever miss him and it will always hurt. Even though his death was the hardest thing I have EVER endured, I have changed and I will strive to become more like him."
Carlo Garza of San Bruno, CA

"Hey bud I still remember drinking a beer before we left to Iraq. We had some good times and I miss you bro. I was devastated to here you passed and it made everything very hard after that. I am glad when we got back to Bragg they honored you. I'm always gonna miss you and I will never forget about you.

Your bud

"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com

A hundred times a day, I remind myself that my inner and outer life depends on the labors of other men, living and dead, and I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am receiving. - Albert Einstein"

"Sept 01, 2007 ....To the family and friends of Cheyenne Willey, Cheyenne was a noble, selfless, and deeply caring soldier who watched out for and took care of those around him. My apologies for waiting so long to post this message, but I wanted to finally honor him for the true hard charging soldier and the good natured person he was.... To you Cheyenne there is not a day that goes by that I dont think of you my friend. Until we meet again, as we say in the airborne "keep your feet and knees together". You are missed but never forgotten."

"Willey you always watched over me when we were training in Bragg. You were one of my closest friends and still, almost two years now, it deeply saddens me that I can't enjoy the song I sang for you at USA Sports during karaoke night. Everytime I sing that song it's for you Cheyenne. Thank you for being a wonderful friend and support, I will NEVER forget you! I miss you and your smile so much."
