"To Michael Wiesemann family, it has been a very hard 5 years with me, I was the recruiter that took him to meps and worked with him, when his recruiter moved on. Not a day goes by that I do not think of Pvt Wiesemann or that day that we went and first talked to him about the army. He was a great soldier. He will always be missed. And I am very sorry for the lost of him."

"Thank You
by Lily Michaels, 2003
I can't shake every hand.
I can't put flowers on every grave.
I can't console every family member.
But I can say thank you.
You have given me the freedom I enjoy today.
Your blood was shed in place of mine.
Your family grieved so mine could rejoice.
All I can say is thank you.
There are not words big enough.
There is not a hug strong enough.
There is not a smile wide enough.
All I can offer is thank you.
You are my hero.
You are in my thoughts.
You are in my prayers.
For all you've done, thank you."

"To the family of Michael Wiesemann....
I went to basic training with your son. We were in the the same platoon, squad, and even shared bunk beds for a while. As a matter of fact he was one of my closest and dearest friends; we just lost contact once we were deployed. I could sit with you and talk about him all day, but I just want to let you know from the bottom of my heart that he will never be forgotten. Maddogs,Scouts out!"

"Last week I sat on a plane next to a guy who had a tatto; "Michael Wiesemann, 29 May 04. I figured I owed it to Michael to find out who he was and what he did to for the country. Today with the web that was easy. My respects and best wishes goes out to Michael's friends and family. Who ever that guy is with the tatto - you did a good thing to make sure people know about Michael."
