"Dear Clint,
You don't know me, but I am a friend of your Mom's. We met at a ceremony in Mulvane Kansas to honor our brave soldiers who have given their ALL. My son Donald Jay Hasse was also killed in the war. Your Mother is a wonderful woman and I want you to know how proud she is of you. She loves you so very much and misses you more than I can tell you. Please know that your parents are doing ok and they DO miss you and love you."

"I am the widow of Clinton R Upchurch, and I am so honored to read the great posting that have been put on this sight. I also have a great appreciation to those who that the time to express their thoughts here. I am confident that Clint did give his life for a worthy cause. He wished to be there and I know would have gladly chosen to give his life for what he believed in. He was honored to serve in the 101st Airborne Division, as he had watched Band of Brothers for so long. He died as a Band of Brothers member and I am so proud of him. I miss him every moment of everyday. He was and always will be one of the greatest men, ever."
