"I'm sorry brother. I tried to live my life worthy of surviving. I've failed in so many ways. I'll never understand why it was you and not me. I love you brother. There's times I wish I wouldnt have opened my eyes that day. I don't have your strength to go through surviving. I promise may 12th I'll be at your gravesite with a beer for both ofus. Not a day goes by without you on my mind. I wish I could have done more to make my life worth saving."
"Six years my brother and not a day goes by i dont think about that day or you. I wish i could say other wise, but it would be a lie. There's so much i wish i would have said or something i could have done different. I cant put into words the effect your life and your death has had on me. I will see you again one day, but until i do keep your canteen filled."

"I have never forgotten Teeters I was his Career Counselor I reenlisted him right before he went out on that mission. I am currently back in Iraq (still in the same BDE he was in) I didn't know him very well but I cried for him for days, we lost many soldiers but for some reason PFC Teeters touched me more than any other soldier that we lost out there. And when we got back to Ft Hood, TX I walked by his picture on our Fallen Heroes wall about 10x a day. My heart goes out his family. Please don't think for one minute that he has been forgotten. I will never forget PFC Teeters."
