"Re: SSG Brandon K Sneed
Hello,
I represent PRAYER SHAWLS 4 FALLEN SOLDIERS (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 2,800 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 240 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Would you kindly send me a contact email/address so that we may send a loving hand-made prayer shawl to the family? Thank you!

"I was a squad leader with Brandon during the initial invasion into Iraq. I worked with Brandon for four to five years and we became good friends. Wherever Brandon was, SSG K, SSG Jenkins, SSG Greenwood, and I were not far away. I remember talikng to him right before the second deployment after I got out of the Army and then I heard he was killed in Al Ramadi. I couldn't believe it. My former soldier Leon Johnson (J) was lost with him. I wish both of their families the best and miss talking with my two lost brothers."

"It was an honor and privilege to serve with Brandon while I was a Squad Leader in Bravo 1-30 Infantry "Bulls". We arrived at B 1-30 at around the same time. He truly was a quiet professional who took care of the Soldiers in his Platoon. I will always remember Brandon and considered him a true friend. I will miss Him but will always remember the time that we were both “Battleboars!”"

"I never meet your father or husband. But last weekend I ran into one of his buddies from Iraq. we got to talking and I noticed the braclet on his wrist. he told me the story behind it. I told him that my father served in the AirForce for 20 years and that dad was in vietnam. at that point he took off the braclet and gave it to me. I looked at him and I told him that I would wear it with pride and that it would not leave my wrist until the day I die. After that was said, we toasted to Brandon and all the other that had fallen. It take a special kind of man to do what your dad and husband did. If your dad is anything like my dad was. he loved you very much and would have done anything for you. your father and husband may have left this life, but he will always be with you.
May God bless you all."

"To the family of SFC Brandon Sneed,
Sergeant Sneed was my squad leader during OIF in 2003. He was a great leader and more over a great man. He was my mentor, my teacher, and most of all my friend. I was deeply saddened when I heard that he was lost and many a days I find myself remembering the days of us serving in Iraq during the opening days of the war. Its so hard to believe that he is gone. To you sergeant Sneed, you will always be my brother and my friend and you will never be forgotten!"

"I never knew your son and husband, but I so wish that I had had the opportunity to. I found courage and strength in your words. As far you Gloria Mann, "Just taking a moment out of your day to thank our men and woman" and for you Mrs. Sneed, "You have to go on and be strong for your children". Brandon would be so proud of both of you. I hope that you know that I will always pray for Brandon and your family. If ever in the Galveston area, please come by the United States Coast Guard Base."

"I served with SFC Sneed as a Squad Leader in 2000. I was honored to serve with him again when I was assigned to his unit and deployed to Ramadi, Iraq. He was an effective leader that was respected by his soldiers, peers, and superiors. SFC Sneed will be missed by every soldier in our Company. He is remembered, and thought of, as we conduct our redeployment procedures. I know, as I listen to the soldiers of our company, that as our soldiers move to other units, or to other ventures, his name and reputation will be remembered."

"Brandon Sneed was a very special young man. I knew him when he was a child and watch him grow into a man in every sense of the meaning. He always gave his all in all that he did. His loss will stay with me forever. I think of him often and how he lived and not so much of the way he died. He is an example of all that is good about this country.I pray for peace and all the men and women who still are in Iraq to return safe.Brandon, thank you for making us all proud to have had you in our lifes."
