"17 years... how time flies. I think about you often and tell my friends and family about you. We're all getting old as hell in this new age, such a crazy world. Rest easy, brother."
SGT Trent Aisner (ret) of USA

"Brother, you are not forgotten. I never made friends again after you left this world because there was no replacing you. You confided how scared you were to me before deployment and your fears were warranted. We had half-assed leadership that led you to your doom. I'm sorry I couldn't save you, but your death will never be in vain. You will always be the best friend I ever had and I look forward to seeing you on the other side when my maker finally calls me home."
Mark Marrison (DAV) of Arizona

"I STARTED TALKING TO DENNIS ON MYSPACE, KINDA LAME, I KNOW, BUT THE THING WAS THAT I WAS DEPLOYED TOO. I WAS UP IN NORTHERN IRAQ, AND I HONESTLY DONT REMEMBER HOW WE STARTED TALKING. BUT WE SAW THAT WE WERE BOTH NATIVE AMERICANS & RUNNERS, AND FROM THERE JUST STARTED MESSAGING EACH OTHER. LEAVE EACH OTHER FUNNY COMMENTS, AND IT WAS FUN TO HAVE A PENPAL. HE TOLD ME ONE OF HIS REASONS THAT HE SIGNED UP WAS BECAUSE OF HIS BROTHER...AND JUST LIFE IN GENERAL. WHAT WE PLAN TO DO WHEN WE GOT BACK. WE THOUGHT IT WOULD EVEN BE COOL TO GRAB A BEER OR TWO ONCE WE GOT BACK TO CAMPBELL. BUT ONE DAY THE LETTERS STOPPED. I HAD LOT OF FRIENDS ALL OVER DIVSION, AND I USUALLY CHECKED THE CASUALTY LIST, WHICH IS MORBID, BUT I DID IT TO MAKE SURE THE PEOPLE I KNEW ARE ALIVE. AND THEN I SAW HIS NAME. I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. HE SEEMED LIKE SUCH A GOOD MAN & WISHED THERE WAS SOME WAY I COULD JUST TELL HIS FAMILY HOW SORRY I WAS. AND STILL AM. RIP DENNIS."
FORMER SPC TSOSIE, DESIREE of CLARKSVILLE, TN
