"Before leaving 3rd LAR for good, I was fortunate enought to be apart of the ceremony honoring your sacrifice and renaming the motor ramp after you. I pray your family and friends have found peace. This November marks 20 years.

When a man dies a library burns to the ground.  But I knew you before the fires raged.  You graciously shared your stories with me.   Oh, the wonderous chapters we wrote together... I shall carry them with me all of my days; safely guarded on my own bookshelves.  Your works are amongst my most prized collections, albeit in the restricted section.

"JD, Although I want to, I will never forget the images and memories of that night. But what comforts me are the memories of times before that night. Lake Havasu, the look on your face during training when I told you that Gil had wrecked your bike, etc. JD, You impacted so many in a positive way. "don't let them bother you" - are the last words you ever spoke to me. I hold them close and they help me stay positive in all situations. I am proud to have served with you. Reppuhn family, you gave our country your child, but he gave us so much more."

"5 years Justin... that's how long I've carried that burden... I remember that day clearly... I had just came off of security detail at R.O.C.K ASP where we were before our major Operation "Al Fajar" Phantom Fury... I was supposed to be on that 50. Cal gun on your truck and if I wouldn't of been pulled off that convoy... you'd still be here. When I heard it over the radio that your truck had been ambushed... I was furious... I wanted to go out the wire so bad just to see if my friends were ok... that's the day that changed my life forever. Since then... I always think of u friend. I miss u justin.. The laughs... jokes.. Everything! I will always remember u buddy... and one day... we'll meet again as brothers at arms.Semper Fi and my love to your family."
