"I still think about you every day bro. During our short time together in the DEP, boot camp, and SOI I knew I had a brother for life. All of my friends and family know your name and how awesome you were. I still feel terrible guilt for getting hurt and recycled into a different company. I wish I coulda have been there with you man, but I guess things happen for a reason. I ended up doing really well in the Corps and brought home all my guys from Afghan, I know you were watching over us. Love and miss you man. Can't wait to meet up again and see that damn infectious smile and hear that hilarious laugh."

"It has taken me 18 years to leave my first message and I do not know how to type the right words to express myself. I’ve always kept you (and Jesse, Matthew, and Shane) close to my heart. I was in Weapons platoon and attached to 2nd platoon during our 2004 deployment, so I only got to talk with you from time to time and was there when the picture of you, Jesse, Shane, and Matthew was taken. I took some with mine and we shared a few laughs. I have all of ya’lls names tattooed on the cross behind my shoulder, and I speak of your name to my daughter. I still have not developed the Kodak disposable camera I took pictures with during that deployment, in time I hope to gather the strength to do so. It still sits in my luggage. For now, I just wanted to say I miss you mi hermano and to the family of Chris, I am praying for you today and always. With my deepest love and condolences.

"You do not know me but I want to thank you and honor you for your ultimate sacrifice and courage. I was cleaning out old boxes in storage that I kept from high school and found letters and a picture from a PFC AL Ramos, Army, 239th Q.M.Co.(SUC)APO,San Francisco CA served in Vietnam. Christopher looked just like the Al Ramos in the photograph. The letters were dated May - July of 1968. It was a difficult time in our country for our young soldiers and Al Ramos saw my picture in a small town paper and starting writing to me. We wrote several times back and forth and then stopped. I am 56, married with 3 children and 7 grandchildren and after all these years I stumbled upon this photograph that brought me to this web site. I realize that there are so many men with the same name but the photograph and the picture of Christopher looked so similar. Our nephew also lost his life while serving his Country. I can feel your sorrow and your loss...they are true heros. Instead of soldiers, they are now guardian angels in heaven watching over us and keeping us safe. I would very much appreciate Adrian, if you would let me know if your father is the same Alfonso Ramos that wrote me in 1968 while in Vietnam. God bless you and your family. "To the Family of Christopher Ramos:
This past Memorial Day, the First Baptist Church of Orlando wanted to honor all the men and women in our Armed Services who had lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. Each person attending received a small American flag with the name of a service man or woman who had paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedom. I received Christopher's name.
Even though several years have passed since Christopher's death, please know that he is not forgotten. I pray that God's peace will continue to comfort you, and that you will understand how much your fellow Americans appreciate the sacrifice you and your family have made. God bless you."

"Hey bro, I don't know what brings me to this site on a wensday night at 1:18 am. I guess the fact that I will never forget such a friend. I know you had better friends than myself, and I will not pretend to be more or less. But for the brief time that I knew you, while we were both just brand new to the Corps, I found that you were a genuine friend. A sincere and legit man while we were just boys. And Time has passed since the day you left us but, to this day I drink to you my friend. I drink not to forget but to rember. I drink to rember those days back in the room laughing and joking over the simplest of things.Like I said I wont pretend to be something more or something less. But for the brief time that I knew you I already knew you were some one I would miss. It has been almost 2 years since that day. And the only thing that has changed is a calender day. I still think about you bro, i still curse out loud while I drink to myself, but I imagine your doing good up above. So I pray to god that he gives you a post were you got good visual on your family and you can keep eyes on them and make sure there doing good. We miss you bro, and thats not going to change any time soon.

"To the family of Christopher.
I am the uncle of Lance Cpl. Matthew Serio, one of the three Marines that fell with your son on that fateful day. I know there are no words that can remove the anguish that our families are feeling. It has only been a month but there isn't an hour that goes by that I don't think of the day I found out that my nephew, along with your son, was killed.
They were Marines doing a job that needed to be done. Unfortunately in war, young men are put in harm's way but we need those brave souls to protect the freedoms that which we hold so dear.
Remember, they were giving it to the enemy and went down fighting.
God bless your family."
