"Specialist Eric Ramirez,
I was in Iraq on my way back to the states when I friend in San Diego told me about your incident. I cried and asked God to be someone else with your name and not you... But it was you.
Remember, We went together to MP school in fort Carson, Colorado. We had a great time over there, and those memories will stay with me for the rest of my life. Every memorial day I talk to teenagers in trouble about you and your dedication and love for this country. I thank God and your family for giving us the opportunity to have you with us for this short period of time "YOU ARE THE REAL HERO"
One day we'll serve again in God Army, hoooaaaa!!!"

"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com

"I knew Eric pretty well. I was a member of 2nd Platoon, 670th Military Police Company over in Iraq. I had the privilege of talking with Eric just a few months before he was killed. I didn't get to go up to northern Iraq with the Company as my platoon was being rotated back to the states. He was a very hard worker and always placed his fellow soldiers ahead of his own needs. He was always willing to take on more then his share of the work around the camp. He was my friend, my fellow MP and my fellow soldier and he will be truly missed."

You are a Man of Honor that I am very proud to have as my brother. We miss you, but we KNOW we will see you again. Thank you for all that you taught me. You taught me to love people and not to judge them. You taught me to enjoy the things in life and not to take things for granted. You taught me patience as you looked after Adel and me. You were always there to listen and give advice. You have taught me many valuable lessons that I will teach my children. I promise to you that I will tell how great a man you are. I love you very much! Isis and Chase are so beautiful and they have so much of you in them, and for that I thank God for. Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. You are forever missed."

HERO IN OUR FAMILY !!
Not many people can say it but now I can. He did it for his country, that's a real man, seeing how he had a good life with two kids and a wife knowing that he cared about everyone. He was always recognized by someone. We have a hero in our family which is great . I feel so happy when I say it. Knowing that he left us he will always remain in our hearts. Nothing will ever make us forget that part. We will all miss him dearly. But I know he will never leave us. Now come on lets start living happily cause we have a hero in our family.
