From the first time I met you in BayShore I knew I would remeber you, your the first last and only person that ever just walked into that office looked at me and just told me you where joining and it was going to be now. Still to this day I blame myself. I'm geting better but everyone and anyone that has ever met you misses you dearly and we will not forget."

"To the parents of Robert Pope II, I can not feel the pain you must endure in the least but I felt deep pain
reading the letter your son wrote to you; it made me cry- and I can only wish to be as good parents as you are and will always be in life. So sorry for your loss. What a true man/patriot you raised. Take comfort that- although not enough- there is still good in people and in this world."
Frank Scudere of East Meadow, NY

"Robert,
I truly enjoyed the time I was lucky enough to spend with you. We all have experienced your great sense of humor. It brings a smile to my face when I think about the time I told you to shoot a flare and it went sideways instead of up. Then when I called you on the radio and asked what happened... you said it was a "ground rule double." To the Pope Family, I hope you have found a small measure of peace in your life knowing how many lives Robert touched."
CPT Tom Weitzel of COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO

"If tears could build a stairway,
And memories were a lane.
I would walk right up to heaven,
To bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows why.

My heart still aches in sadness,
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

You and angels around Gods happy throne.
I would have held you closer if I had known
