"Brad was one of the only people I remember from Boot Camp. His last name was my mothers maiden name, that gave us something to talk about at first. He was one of the good ones. He cared about others more than himself. A Marine talking about Boot Camp is pretty “boot”, but The experience truly shows the best and the worst of an individual. In my experience I only saw The very best of a human being in him. That is why now at 36 years old (with a wife and two kids) I make sure every Memorial Day and on nov 15, I remind them of the sacrifice that my Brother made so I could be here for them. His passing, still to this day hurts. “Take me home country road to the place I belong”"

"Brad was a dear friend and fellow Marine. He served with honor and courage. He was one of the best people I have ever met. I served with him in 1/8 Bravo and was honored to call him brother. The day he fell was one of the toughest days of my life, but he will never be forgotten. He has risen to the heavens and is guarding the gates with St. Peter. For the Parker family, know your son gave his life fighting for what he believed in and it does not matter what a select few in the country think. He is missed, never forgotten, and I will see him again. Hoorah brother and Semper Fi."

"Brad was my cousin the 13 years i was lucky to have known and spent with him and Andrew were the best. i just wish i could have said goodbye and that i loveed him one last time. We still wake up and pray he'll walk through that front door at our grandmas but we know in our hearts that it'll never happen. He always wanted to be a Marine since he was 6, he loved being one. I thank him everyday and every other service member that they are paying the price or are willing to pay that price to keep us all free."

"My brother went to boot camp with Brad and they were stationed together at Camp Lejeune. Brad's death devastated my brother and has equally affected the lives of all Marine families. We all watched the 1st Batallion MARINES march down the parade deck on September 26, 2003. We cried when they received their emblems...and we all shared the same pride, and the same unspoken fears. Tragically, some of those fears have become realtities. And the death of Brad left a mark on my brother and our family which will remain with us forever. I still look through the graduation program and cry when I see Brad's name. These young men, so willing to fight and lay down their lives with a selflessness that goes beyond our understanding. We grieve with you always. Semper Fi"
