"Sgt. Nacho,
I was walking through my school (Columbia University) and I was watching some youngsters play soccer on the lawn. I immediately had a flashback to when Greg (Cpl. Pigg) and I kept calling you "Kris" and you made us run around the soccer field. Although to us it was simply a game of "Ultimate Soccer," to you, it was a way of life. You cared deeply and passionately for the game, as you did for your Marines, and for the core values which were instilled in us all. You are truly a hero and you were an ispiration to everyone you encountered. You ensured us all that life was not so bad during tumultous times and when the 115 degree sun was beating down on our faces, you always found a way to make us smile. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten, Thank You."

God bless you and your family"

"It was last November 10 it was the Marine Corps Birthday. The Marines has given liberty for this country and to the American people. Some Marines paid for freedom with their life. Sgt Nachampassak did that. He have his life for us. For us to be free. He died to make sure that we have freedom to smile in the morning and kiss our love ones.
I can still remember the last Marine Corps Ball we went together. We had so much fun talking about our stories. I can still remember when I go to his house just to eat dinner when I am broke to buy my own food. I know that he will always have my back where ever he is.
Sgt Nachampassak is my Brother.

"Nacho,
Hey I knew you for a short time and I met you at the range and noticed that you were laotion by your last name that motivated me a lot to see that you have dedicated yourself to a cause just like I have, it was wierd I remember drinking and eating in your house at 29 Palms and telling you about the unit I was with and what had happened to me when I was there. Turns out that you were going to be in the same unit that I was. I tried calling you when I was in California but all I kept getting was either the answering machine or somebody telling me that you weren't there. I finally got to Okinawa and I distinctly reading your name on the Marine Times, my heart had dropped and that was it I couldn't even imagine how the family felt I know that you were close to them as a father and marine. I remember you drove me home in my RSX you said you always wanted one so you can take mine. I remember you and we will never forget about you are in my heart bro take care and god bless you and your family. I know that you are watching over them."

"My dearest cousin, (danile)
I apologize for inconsiderate people that feel as though they have a right to be apart of this grieving process. I thank all the people that have had a place in my cousins life and all the good memories that they have shared with him. He was one to always live life to the fullest and treat people with the upmost respect. And it upsets me to read the comment below... because i know that "YOU" of all people disrespected him the most, hurt him, and didnt appreciate who he was. "YOU" have no right. Its sad because you have not only disrespected nacho and his family in the past but now you are disrespecting him as he is resting. Here is the bottom line... "YOU" were just a stepping stone for him to find his true love. Nacho, as your cousin i always admired the relationship that you and danile have. You guys were meant to be and it makes me smile to know that you finally found someone to respect you and care for you the way you deserve. You guys are and icon for other families to be."

You will forever be in our hearts and our lives. Nacho will have a place in our memories forever and we will shed tears for him and for you. Fate took him away too soon in this life but fate also gifted us all with the wonder of Nacho. Our families grew close over the time we have known each other and I carry with me many happy moments of Nacho, you and the boys. I think of Nacho in his silver truck and smile as I picture him climbing it every weekend without fail to wash it. I think back to the patience he showed my girls and to the help your family gave me while John was deployed. Love will keep him alive forever and there is a lot of love for Nacho. We love you guys deeply and will miss Nacho every day that passes."

"Dear Danile, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and the children. It seemed like just yesterday when you were all here on vacation...The dinner at Zippy's will never be forgotten. I got a chance to speak with your husband and realized what a "match" you two really were. As I have often told you, he is truly "a one in a million." Remember, I will always be here for you.

"Dear Danile, My deepest sympathy for the loss of you husband. Sgt Nacho was a friend of mine, we worked together at K-Bay. I had met you on a couple of occations, the last shortly before he deployed. We were all shocked and deeply saddenend when we heard of his death today. He was a very good man. All of us here have missed him since he left the fuel farm and will grieve his passing. I remember his excitement and joy when he became a father, his love for you, his benchmark work ethic. We pray for your family and God bless Sgt. Nacho our hero."
