"Every Memorial Day I visit you. I remember when we went to school together. We went our separate ways when I moved, and joined the Marines at different times. However as long as I am alive I will bring my kids, and grandchildren to visit, so they may learn of your sacrifice, and you will not be forgotten. Semper Fi"

"I recently had the opportunity to learn about Marine LCpl. Marcus Mahdee an extraordinary person that made the ultimate sacrifice for us.
I learned about his legacy when my son Jesus Jonathan Ham ran on his name in the Run for th
e Fallen in Tampa.
As a mother n sister of a ARMY veteran and
having an active NAVY brother it was extremely
emotional to be part of such a memorable event. I prayed for his soul, his surviving family and thank him from the bottom of my heart for his sacrifice.
My son 18 years old member of Brandon HS JROTC was moved n proud to run on his name.
RIP Mahdee...

""I too have served this great country and this great state of Nevada. I am a High Roller in the Nevada Air National Guard and have been deployed to Qatar, Kuwait and Baghdad. I was one of many who participated in the “Patriot Detail” to say farewell at BIAP. Although I never met you Marcus, I know you were a first-class Marine, great friend, and the perfect son to those who new you in your brief life. Because of you and all those who have lost their lives, and those who continue to fight this war on terrorism our ‘America’ will survive and be stronger than ever. My life and freedom given by you and so many others makes me eternally grateful for all who have faced the challenges to protect America and our friends on foreign soils. For that Marine Lance Cpl. Marcus Mahdee I am deeply grateful. May God bless you and give you peace.""
