"when i think of robbie one word comes to mind and im goin to steal it from his sister but that is "rebel". and he is a hero. a hero doesnt have to put on a cape or hide behind a mask. a hero is male or female away from there mother, father, sister, daughter, family and friends to protect and defend our freedom in order for us to sit on the back porch and have a cold one while watching your kids or grandchildren run around like crazy people. robbie was a good soldier, father, brother and son. robbie is my hero and im not only honored to serve my country, but i am honored and priveledged to have know his family. bev, bobby, and jochelle. i love u guys. and my thoughts and prayers are for u. GOD BLESS"

"I went to the Light cemetary in Beechcreek to visit the resting places of my mother, grandmother (Lucinda Light Simpson) and my brother, Thomas V Duncan. My brother was a career Marine who died on active duty. As I scanned the area, I noticed, very close to my brother, a most unusual headstone. Very ornate. Less than 12 feet from my brother is buried Cpl Robbie Light. It was fitting that I found him on this memorial day, so close to my brother. Obviously the man was well loved as his grave had all kinds of stuff around it put there by friends. It choked me up. What a shame that these men have to go. As a veteran of the Marines myself, I just wanted anyone in Kingsport that knew him, and that may read this, that I'll be back to visit him. And thankyou for making the ultimate sacrifice Cpl Light. I won't forget you bud....Your Pal,"
