We rushed and treated the injured and brought them to the clinic; but we did not expect any fallen; it aches my heart that it was you and I wish you could have stayed at the clinic that morning for quarters. Every day that I have served in this Army after that day, I have served in your honor and on behalf everyone else I've lost that couldn't. Many years have passed, but your name will not be forgotten."
