I know you are missed and will never be forgotten next month will be 10 yrs but to us that is a lifetime, a lifetime of hate, anger, fear, sadness, and for others not so much one thing I miss is your goofy smile and how you never let anything get you down. I am proud to have known you and the man you have became while being in our unit but even in a different platoon.

"To the family of Kevin: I never new Kevin and yet his life has reached and touched my life today. My unit recently found a memorial board out on the Iraqi side of Taqqaudum and it is my honor to put together what we call a "storyboard" telling a brief description of what happened with the discovery of this memorial board. God bless you and it was a complete pleasure getting to know your son through all the kind words from his brothers in arms. May the Lord bless you and may His presence fill your life like never before. God bless you"

"To the Family of CPL Kevin M. Jones,
I was in Iraq with Kevin and remember his wonderful smile and great friendship he extended to everyone he met. I remember this fateful night and will never forget my brother and the sacrifice he made for all of us. I often think of Jones and the many conversations I had with him in Iraq. He was a fun loving easy going person and simply a joy to know. I would like to say thank you Mr. and Mrs Jones for the great son you guys gave to us to have as a brother. He will never be forgotten and neither will the family who graced us with Kevin. Please feel free to email me anytime thank you vmosley@q.com"

"CPL Jones, I miss you. I miss the caliber of Soldier you were, I miss your constant smile and always can do attitude. I remember the last time I saw you and as always, you smiled and said see ya later sergeant. I was lucky to have been one of your leaders and I will never let anyone forget you were one of the best, the brightest Soldiers I have served with in almost 20 years. You changed everyone you met and I hope the standard you set as a human being, the way you treated your fellow man with dignity and respect can be an example for us. Your love of music, your taped sermons from your pastor, what a good honest person you were. I can only hope God needed another angel and since you shined so much brighter than us, chose you and took you from us. I remember that night in Sept, my chest being torn apart when they told me about you, your fellow Soldiers on that convoy worked so hard to save you, the Drs worked as hard and all the Soldiers, Sailors and Marines lined up to donate blood for you. I was so lucky to be your PSG for even the short amount of time I was, an will always cherish your memories. thanks for letting me wear your cowboy hat to show my wife that day at Turley, everyone can think of at least one bad thing about someone, but I can't even imagine anyone having a single thing to say other than how great a person you were. Thanks for your dedication, your honor and I will always remember your sacrafice. to your family, thanks for giving your son, you cant imagine how many times he lifted us from our own dark times. you are amazing parents to have raised such a good man. please email me anytime. erichorrick@yahoo.com"

Kevin and I where High School friends through Band, JROTC, and Sports. He showed me alot of things. From the love we both shared for helping people and our love as friends. Today I'm proud to say that he was the one who helped me find the compastion to be a fire fighter and a nurse."

"TO THE JONES FAMILY FROM THE WAHL FAMILY. KEVIN HIT HOME! KEVIN THANK YOU FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY AND BEING A MILITARY BROTHER TO OUR SON. ODDLY, TWO FROM NORTH CAROLINA AND YET; NEITHER OF YOU KNEW ONE ANOTHER. MY COMFORT CAME FROM YOU KEVIN. NEVER TO WORRY ABOUT OUR SON. TEARS HAVE NEVER STOPPED RUNNING DOWN MY CHEEKS! TODAY, FOR YOU KEVIN AND FOR ALL OUR FALLEN! KEVIN YOU ARE AN AMAZING INDIVIDUAL. SERVING OUR COUNTRY RISKING EVERYTHING FOR ALL AMERICANS. AN YET; HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS NEVER ANSWER THE CALL TO SERVE OUR COUNTRY. THAT ONLY TELLS YOU THE MAN YOU BECAME KEVIN! YOU HAVE TOUCHED THE HEARTS OF SO MANY. EACH HOLD VERY PRECIOUS MEMORIES. THAT YOU SAHERED TOGETHER. THAT YOU WILL NEVER EVER BE FORGOTTEN KEVIN, NEVER!!!!!!!! YOU ARE NOW APART OF MILITARY, IRAQI, AMERICAN, AND WORLD HISTORY. FIGHTING OFF TERRORISM AND GIVEN THOSE IN IRAQ. THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE IN PEACE. TO ENJOY FREEDOM AND LIBERTY! GIVEN TO THEM BY UNSELFNESS SOLDIERS LIKE YOU KEVIN. AN ALL THIS DOESN'T MAKE YOUR LOST HURT. YOUR FAMILY LOVES YOU VERY MUCH. AN ALL THIS WILL TAKE TIME TO HEAL. SOMETIMES LONGER THEN OTHERS. GOD KNOWS I DEAL WITH IT EVERYDAY. TO YOUR FAMILY: KEVIN DESERVE'S TO HE HONORED. TODAY, NOT TOMORROW, TODAY. PLEASE REACH OUT TO YOUR POLITICAL LEADERS IN YOUR AREA. AN REQUEST A STREET BE NAMED AFTER KEVIN. HEROES DESERVE TO BE HONORED. NOT LIKE AMERICA HAS IN PAST YEARS. WAITIBG FOR A WAR AND OR CONFLICT TO END. THAT TAKES ENDLESS YEARS. AN RECENTLY, WE ARE JUST HONORING SOLDIERS FROM WWI, WWII, KOREAN, AND VIETNAM! THIS IS WRONG, KEVIN NEVER ASKED TO MUCH. THE LEAST HIS COMMUNITY CAN DO IS HONOR HIM! GOD BLESS!"
