"BobbiJo and family,

My brother was with Sgt. Jodon when he gave his full measure of devotion. We feel for you loss, and our hearts are with you still. I wanted to let you know we visited a memorial wall for the war on terror over the Independence Day weekend. We left a flag in his memory, and I took a rubbing of his name to be hung on my classroom wall. May God bless and keep you each untill you can walk together in Glory."

It was an honor and privilege to have known you. For those reading this I was Andy's squadleader and present at the time of his passing (along with SPC Peck in a previous posting). Miss you Brother..."

I found out about his loss when I tracked down another friend of ours from Germany.I am deeply sadened and will keep him and his family in my prayers."

"To the family of Andrew Jodon, I met Jodon in 1998 while we were both stationed in Giessen. We quickly became good friends. Jodon had an outgoing personality and could make friends in a room full of strangers. As so often happens friends in the military lose touch with each other as they start to PCS and ETS. For the last couple of years I had often wondered what Jodon was up to and how he was doing. The other night I saw his name on the Fallen Soldiers Website and was absolutely floored. Andrew Jodon isn't just another name to me. He was a great friend and an outstanding sapper. Even though I hadn't seen or talked to Jodon in several years the world is a little bit less without him. My heart goes out to the Jodon family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. To Andrew: Jodon we had some great times, you were a true friend. I still laugh when I remember watching you play baseball with the German team. I Thank You for your service to our country and your ultimate sacrafice. God Bless"
SSG James Grady of Savannah, Georgia

"I just wanted to let Andrew ("Andy's") family know that I will keep him, as well as his family in my prayers.
Today my church held a service to remember and honor those who gave their lives for our freedom. At the conclusion of the service, we were all given small flags with the names of fallen heroes from all over the country attached to them. I happened to receive Andy's name. I placed his flag alongside numerous others at a memorial site next to our church here in Orlando, and prayed for him.
Wanting to know more about Andy, I searched for him online and found this website. It sounds like he was an amazing guy, and I just wanted to say thank you the sacrifice that he made. God Bless You!"
Nike Gregory of First Baptist Church, Orlando, FL
