Army Staff Sgt. Asbury F. Hawn II

35, of Lebanon, Tennessee.
Hawn died of injuries sustained on August 13, 2005, in Tuz, Iraq, while he was conducting a mounted patrol his HMMWV came under attack by enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 3rd Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, McMinnville, Tennessee. Died on August 14, 2005.

"The Smyrna Planning Committee just approved a road in front of the Smyrna Nissan Plant where Sgt Asbury Hawn was employed. I wanted to thank the developer Howard Wall and John Floyd and DMK Real Estate advisor owner Dave Wilson for being very receptive when asked to name the road after Sgt Hawn. The road will be heaviy traveled with new national franchise restaurants, office supplie stores, a national steak house and office space to the rear. I worked with Sgt Hawn, he was a customer of ours and I know the family. Sgt Hawn was a true Hero, true American, great father and Im proud to call him a friend.
