"This might be the hardest message I have had to leave. There is not day goes by that I don't think about you and remembering all the amazing times we had. Just two guys that would hot rod a truck, or kick back to a weekend of video games. Still will never forget the all night drinking party just to watch you fall down a flight of stairs because you thought you were late. Makes me smile every time. So many memories of wrestling matches, talks about life, and how you could fill a room with energy with random goofiness. Tommy, I miss you brother, but I still feel your presence around me and I know you're still watching us up there while all your friends and family are here. So in short, my brother, I love you man. Can't wait to see you again In the great beyond."
Aj Brooks of Dresden TN

"Jimmy Anderson I am curious as to how you were able to get Tommy to wake you up in basic trainining I lost track how many times he got the 2 of us smoked because he would roll over and pull the blankets back over his head even after the drill Sgt would toss his rack he would climb back in and go back to sleep."
James Carter of Los Lunas NM

"Tommy Its been almost 16 years since Ive seen you you were one hell of a battle buddy I still think of how we use to think we were so cool cuz wed run up the stair well with our hats on backwards to the barracks tryin as hard as we could to get thier before the drill Sgts. I wish I would have been able to meet up with after basic training but we never got the chance. To your family my condolences I have been trying to reach you for 12 years now so i can personally give my condolences I have tried everything I can think of no luck I would really like you to contact me so I can complete what i started 12 years ago you can reach me at cartj713@yahoo.com god bless you all and I hope to hear from you.Go Steele Dawgs"

"After all these years you would think I would've said something to you.and after all these years I still don't know what to say. For those who don't know my name is Jimmie Anderson. Me and Foley were friends from day one. This guy came to the unit one day and heard me playing my video game loud. He said "hey bubba you got another controller?" I looked at him like he was crazy but I laughed and we did that almost everyday. I used to call him alarm clock because he always knocked on my door around 5am for get ready for 1st formation. Foley was a guy that had a lot faith a lot hope he believed that things would get better with time.i apologize to his wife and his son for not taking the time to put my feelings in writing so that you knew he was never forgotten. He was a true friend and I miss him dearly. I haven't had one like him since. I don't think I ever will. Peace bro ...

"Tommy, where do I start? We went through many things in life both good and bad.I am still to this day at a loss of words but I am grateful that the last time that we spoke it was on my Birthday in 2003. I had just been given my first round of Anthrax vaccinations and the small pox vaccination and we were talking about how we were going to get together later on in our lives and we are still together because of our bond. I am grateful that the last things we said to each other was how we loved each other...probably the best phone conversation we ever had considering I was in Germany and he was back stateside. I have never posted on this site before but better late than never right? I still have unresolved issues about what had transpired from both of our services in the Army but do not regret it. I am a betterperson because of my experiences. To my brother I am sorry it has taken me so long to post here but I have had a lot going on and I have most certainly never forgotten you and wish you to know that your nephews say hello and that they do know who you are and they ask of you often. We all love you bro and know that you are keeping an eye on us all."

"My father, Blain Shobe and Tommy were cousins. I think I only met Tommy once when I was a small child but after having something so terrible happen to our family I found a new respect for those who serve in the military. I went on to join the Army a few years later and married a fellow soldier shortly after. We are both currently out of the service for medical reasons and we are raising a family of our own. My children will grow up with a healthy respect for those who serve thanks to a man I only knew once. i hope to reconnect with my distant family soon and I want you all to know that you are in my prayers."

"To all the wonderful people who have posted on this site, I, Sherry Durbin,am Tommy's aunt, THANK YOU.
I just found this site this morning.I want to share a few great times I spent with him.
When he was just able to sit up by himself I took him riding on my motorcycle, he liked it so much he did not want off, I rode him often.
Sharing his birthdays with his brother,David, were always great.
After I move to Louisville, KY they came to visit and we spent a day at the zoo.
Our time together was short but I still miss him everyday.
Thank you for your prayers and thoughts as the years go by I hope you remember all who have fought and died for our freedom to come and go as we wish without having to report to anyone who would want to keep us under their thumb.
Love and thanks to all our soldiers and their families."
Sherry "Penick" Durbin of Louisville,KY

"Thank you all for your support, I simply can't put into words how reuniting with my big brother affected me. I had met him only once before in my life, so it's not hard to imagine how awkward the situation was. Even so, it wasn't too long until he was coming over for dinner, then staying over on the weekends, and then before we knew it, he was living with us. I could hardly believe it. After 12 or so years of being an only child, I finally had an older brother to hang out with. I think by far, those were the best years of my life. Not a day goes by that I don't think of Tommy. My 21st and 22nd birthdays have already come and gone, but I have a gut feeling, that if you were still with us, when i had turned 21, you and David both would have taken me out and we would have had a blast. We may not have hung out as much as other brothers have, but after what little time we did, in my opinion, you were the greatest brother i could ever have asked for. I miss you bro. We all do. Rest in peace."

""Wow, what can I say. I always have dreams and visions leading up to this day, this anniversary, this transition from Earth to enternal rest for Brown & Foley. My name is Corey Sibley of TN. I was Foley's supply sergeant when he stepped foot into Bravo Battery. I issued him his weapon, his first set of combat uniforms. Remembering that smirk on his face & laughter when they would send him to my office to assist me with issuing supplies. He was a true authentic, american soldier who loved every minute of his job, and on ocassion, coupled it with laughter and fun, which was the typical Foley (with the big glasses :)

To the family: I consider it an honor and privilege to have been a part of Brown's latter portion of his life. Currently, I am out of the military and work in the music industry in Nashville, TN. I would like to make some special contributions towards Brown, Foley and Parkers' memories with some friends of mine in the music world. If at all possible please forward me your contact information so that I can get in touch with you.

Blessings,

"It's been more than three years now since you left us, Son. There isn't a day go by that you aren't in my thoughts. We're back "home" now, and I visit you as often as I can.

Just last week, I had to travel to Boston to attend the funeral of my uncle - a firefighter for 32 years. He, like you, was a hero as well. Even on that day of mourning for him, many thoughts of the family were upon you. All of them wished that they could have known you.

Veteran's Day has come and gone, and while many forget soon after, rest assured that some of us honor you and all American servicemen and women throughout the world each and every day.

I'm still keeping watch over your family, Son, and they know that they will never have to want for anything as long as I still have breath. Your son is growing big and strong and has your mischevious looks, which I'm sure you got from me in the first place. That apple sure doesn't fall far from this family tree. :o)

Your brother is home now, too, and became a father earlier this year. It pains me to know that you have a nephew that you will never meet in this lifetime - he's a wonderful addition to our family.

Many thanks go out to all who've thought enough of my son and our family to leave condolences. For those who don't understand, I sincerely feel sorry for them, for if they don't "get it" by now, they certainly never will.

Rest in peace, Son. We'll be talking soon."

"It's been nearly two years now, Son, and the days aren't getting any easier. I keep watch over your little one and visit as often as I can. Tuesday would have been your 25th birthday and I can still remember the first day I brought you home. I , too, was young and scared at the thought of being a father for the first time, but I did everything in my power to ensure that you had what you needed - when you needed it. You were so small and the world was so big, but that didn't stop you from wanting to see all of that you could. You turned out to be a fine young man and an outstanding citizen, as well as a fine soldier who had no qualms about doing his duty.

I miss you every day that passes until we should meet once again. Where ever you are, you can be assured that my mom is looking out for you, and someday we shall all be together again.

Love you ,Son, and will be seeing you soon. :o)"
