"18 years ago. I met a great man and outstanding soldier. In this beautiful memorial day of 2023, there is one name that stands out when I think of who I should celebrate and who this day is really for. That name is SSG Farrow of Birmingham Alabama. I still remember him waking up early and with his strong voice and motivation, calling for the rest of us to wake up in the barracks of FT Dix NJ, to take on the day of training to mobilize. I remember him always with the posture of a leader home attached to the 146qm co. as well as overseas with ws68aa. I remember him as an example of what I wanted to be like as a soldier and a leader. To his family, I just want to say he was always a great man in the time that I’ve got to know him. Today as every memorial day since, I can only celebrate getting to know SSG Farrow, and being fortunate to learn from him. I celebrate and will continue to celebrate every memorial day in his and his family’s name."

It's been 7 years since we served together. You were always a clown but still had the drill sergeant attitude and kept all of us in check. My prayers go out the Farrow family. I'm proud to have served along side you."

"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com"

"Jeff, I miss you so much. We have had some very good times and we have had some bad times as well but with you there was always more good than anything. I am so grateful to have had you in my life in more than 1 way. I was so looking forward to you coming back home to us in November so we could catch up on all that you did while in Kuwait, and start getting things together for our class reunion next year. I never thought that I would loose you I never imagined my life without you. When things were hard for me you were right there and a bestfriend to me in every aspect of the word. I love you and I miss you so much that it hurts.

"To the family of Jerrerey J. Farrow, my deepest sympathy and heartfelt thanks to you for so bravely serving this country and defending it's freedom. Brave Farrow men fought the British at the battle of King's Mountain,NC, fighting for our first freedoms. And several gave their all there. Some 195 brave Farrow souls battled for the Confederate cause and gave their all for their beliefs...153 gave their all in battle for the Union cause. And the many others in later years of service. I am sure you will be greeted by a "Well Done" by those who have gone before you that defended our freedoms. My prayers are with your loved ones."
