Doring died following a non-hostile helicopter accident near Al Taqaddum, Iraq, on May 27, 2006. He was assigned to Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron-169, Marine Aircraft Group-39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on May 30, 2006.
