"To the family of Chris, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude and sympathy. Though I was never fortunate enough to meet Chris, I viewed firsthand the love and care his youngest sister provided him throughout his last tour in Iraq. Chris was obviously one of our nation's ultimate patriots. More importantly, if the love of his sister was any indication, Chris was a wonderful husband, son and brother. May God bless his proud family."

"SSG Dill was truly an extraordinary soldier. I did not know him personally, although he was located the same place I was. What I do know, is that he died for a cause greater than that of the war itself. He put his life on the line for an injured Iraqi soldier and in doing so met his fate. But this gesture shows how understanding and caring he was. How many other soldiers can say they gave their life for that of an Iraqi? The Iraqi soldiers he worked with were brothers to him just as the American soldiers and that is something that goes beyond the boundries of the war. SSG Dill is a true war hero who would not leave a comrade behind. May he never be forgotten!!!"

"To the Dill Family from the Wahl family. We are deeply sadden by the lost of CHRISTOPHER> Christopher was an amazing individual so young with a very caring and loving heart for man kind. He is a true AMERICAN HERO to us all. Although, Christopher and our son had probably: not known one another. Both had been military brothers. Watching over one another and all those with them. We lost our son eleven months ago. So we fully understand your lost. Christopher has truely, touched the hearts of many. He really was someone's someone. Among his military family, friends, neighbor's, those in his community and his own family. An he will not haven't given his life in vain.
