"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com

It's so weird to visit Tracy, and Camp Pendleton and know that you aren't going back. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and regret what happened. I miss you and wish we could have kept in touch a lot more. I remember seeing you before you left on your first deployment, and how you were when you came home. Just thinking about how you did your Dr. Evil impressions, and loved Kill Bill. I wish we could have spent more time together, but doesn't everyone. I'm so Proud of you, and happy that I have met someone so great. I will never forget you (or your smile). I will try to visit for Memorial Day if possible, I wish I could make it for your birthday but it's hard with work, the baby and the long drive to Tracy. If I can't make it I will definately have flowers taken to you. Miss you Bran. To the Conovers and Dewey Families I wish you the best and am so sorry for your loss. Just remember how Brandon made every one smile, and made such a lasting impression on everyone he met. He is a great man and that's all because of you.
