"The Connecticut Trees of Honor Memorial Committee - www.cttreesofhonor.com is keenly looking for a contact for Kevin's family. We will begin building the Memorial in Middletown's Veterans Memorial Park later this summer and each of our 64 fallen heroes will have an individualized, laser etched plaque mounted next to their tree. We need to contact Kevin's family to have a preferred photo of Kevin for the plaque. I can be reached at 860-841-4287 or suemartucci@gmail.com"

"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com

A hundred times a day, I remind myself that my inner and outer life depends on the labors of other men, living and dead, and I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am receiving. - Albert Einstein"

"Kevin,
I was reading an old copy of Leatherneck Magazine and I read how your friends and Gunny Obleas' brothers ran the 2005 Marine Corps Marathon in honor of you and Gunny Obleas. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country-not just in OIF, but also for your service in Haiti as well. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

"I can't believe it's been 2 years since we lost you. Not a day goes by where I don't think about you. I proudly tell everyone who asks what my tattoo stands for, you were my best friend... I miss you Bro... Gone but NEVER forgotten."
Dave Duprey of Bridgeport, CT

"Tomorrow will be 2 years since we lost Jack. For a brief time, he was one of my Marines. I think about him often. Whenever those of us who served with Jack get together, the conversation always seems to migrate toward him. I guess that's how it's supposed to work. Sometimes I sit at my desk and just stare at his picture- wondering how the emptiness feels to his family- hoping that it hurts a little less for them now- knowing deep down that it doesn't.
Barabara and Jen, I wish I could tell you both just how sorry I am. I pray for you. I know you miss him. So do we."
Chip Raybon (Bones) of Washington, DC

"Jack,
What can I say but, you are my hero. I will love and cherish you always. I think of all the great moments we spent together and look forward to many more in another lifetime. There is not a day that goes by when I do not think of you. You are in my thoughts. I miss you and love you so much.

Love always,
Nicole Pucci"

"To The Dempsey Family:
My good friend Justin Ellsworth was also a Marine. He served in Iraq at the same time your son did, he also got killed with your son. I wasn't sure at first how to got through the hard times after Justin passed, but then I found out about your son and I know Justin isn't alone where ever he his. I know this this won't stop the pain, but hopefully it will ease it knowing Kevin is with a friend. You are in my prayers forever."
