"i served with chris here. to his family we here from vt feel your lost deepy and send our deepest sempaphis.
i meet chris as one of his students at the training center in vt when i became a 19 delta cav. scout and was also his roomate at second phase at fort dix.
the greats memory i have of chris is at fort dix when before starting our night land nav. corse after having eaten dinner chris walked around to tell everyone that we would see how long it would take for our instracters to found us gone. we went acrossed the stream 2 by 2 and hid in the woodline within feet of the road in true scout style till about 45 mins later and all of us in hiding they came thought and told us "ok guys we know u guys can move and hid as scouts now we need to get back to class"
the army losted a great teacher, his family lost a great father and husband, and i lost my friend and the world lost a son.
chris left this world doing what he loved makin a differnce and helping to make this world safer for all of us.
to chris once a scout always a scout..."

"Dear Paula, Michael and Family,

Our deepest sympathy goes out to you for your loss of your beloved husband and father, son and friend. Chris is a true hero for giving the ultimate sacrifice for this country, to serve and protect the freedoms that we all enjoy. We know all too well, the pain of losing a loved one in the line of duty to this country. However, these brave soldiers never once questioned the need to go, the honor of serving their country to protect us all, and that is their legacy to all of us. Please know that Chris will always be a special soldier to us and this country. We owe him a debt of gratitude for his sacrifice and to you for your sacrifice. May you find some peace in knowing that there is a group of families who have been down this road and send their love and support to you during this most difficult of times. We will always be here for you, to listen, and understand the loss. We will be attending Chris' funeral service today in Rutland and be there for you.

Sincerely,"
