"May god continue to guide and bless the family of Kenneth J. Butler, he has not been forgotten. I remember Kenny most for his portrayal as a ring announcer whenever we had a "Bull in the Ring" challenge. He would always ask your name, even if he knew it, and then announce you as whatever name he could come up with, bringing laughs to the masses. He always bought smiles to the faces of those around him, and whenever he was attached to our platoon, we knew our backs were covered. He was a machine gunner you wanted if things ever got hectic. Know that he defended his country well, and was fearless. I'm sure he is looking down on you, giving all the strength he can to make you feel empowered. He bought and left joy in this world, and he will always be remembered. To his family, may God bless you all."

"Cynthia and Rudy,
Had it not been for the heroic actions of your son, that our paths may never have crossed. It is with great sadness that our families met, and it is a day that Capt. Jones will never forget. Yet with time, grief and saddness are overcome with memories of good times past, and the promises of happiness in the future.
We will always remember the good times spent with you and your family, and look forward to good times in the future."
