"Marlon,
You are in my thoughts and prayers always. You are by my side at all times. You gave me the strength to make it through some of the toughest times I have ever faced both here and abroad. Sometimes I wish I could have put away the soldier persona and told you that you were like a little brother to me.
To those of you who read this let it be known. One of the finest soldiers and people I know gave his life in the defense of our great country and to liberate a people from oppression. Honor him in the fashion he deserves for with honor he served. Embrace his memory as it should be for he would have embraced you in friendship. Take from him the knowledge, integrity, and love for life that he gave to all freely.
