"SPC Katrina L. Johnson. I still miss you dearly. I often ask myself what I could have done better or more as your Platoon Sergeant, so you would not have had to leave so soon, but then I too often smile, and tell myself that GOD needed another angel in HEAVEN. And you were that angel. To the families and friends of SPC Katrina L. Bell-Johnson, sorry that it took so long for me to write. I just didn't have the right words to say. Katrina was a special person. I knew her before her military career and she was always kind and caring. Sometimes she was given a hard shoulder but she never was hard in return. Today I saw someone who reminded me of Katrina and I could not let it rest until I found her name and a place to let her know - 'You are not forgotten!' Thank you for your kindness and the person you were."

"SPC Bell-Johnson, you will forever be missed dearly. Even though I moved on to a new duty station for some reason I always had you in my thouhgts. Was it because of the kind of person you were? I know so. Never turned your back on anyone and always had kind words for your fellow soldiers no matter how they acted towards you. I never met your daughter or any of your family members but my condolences and sympathy are with them through their pain and trying times. You are in a better place and God knows best. I will keep you in my thoughts and close to my heart. Remembering you forever and ever."
SGT Sharoder Faulk of Huntsville, AL
"As the days go by and YOU are not there the pain is harder to go away. But one thing is for sure that you are with God and you will suffer no more. You will always be loved by friends and family but most of all your daughter Gabriella. You will always be my HERO! And I want you to know that if it could have been me instead of you then I would have stood in your place. I know that you would have done the same. I will never forget what you said to me that morning of 16 FEb 2005, nor will I forget how happy you were before we rolled out the gate. I will do my best to make sure that you live on in my heart, mind, and spirit. I would like to say thank you to her family for raising such a beautiful woman of God in this world and lending her out to serve her country. For that God will forever bless you. May God keep you in his arms forever. Buttercup I love you and miss you dearly."
