"Been a good 17 years now and I'll never forget. Working security with Michael a short time at NUSC. Always full of pep and energy and quick to make someone laugh or smile. He was good for bustin out a rap whenever he went on break in the guard shack. Also remember when we were in Iraq together, he enjoyed hanging out with me as I enjoyed his company as I worked on the generators, having a coffee and a cigg. He asked me to teach him about the generators, had a solid interest for learning about anything. Still remember the day he told me about his new house and truck and I could see the pride in his eyes as he talked about his family. I imagine the day I reach those big gates, that Michael will be standing there bustin out a rhyme to greet me. I know he will never be forgotten and missed dearly by everyone who's soul had the honor and privilege. God bless you Michael, Family and Friends. Rest in peace friend."

"Weather my memories are from lunch break as we built the house, joking in the locker room after hockey practice, listening to you try and explaine how the Red Sox were superior to the Yankees, any conversation related to Bristol Sports Club, the PIC, ST. Mary's Church, The Holy Ghost Feast, Father Deiogo, Wood Street, the Common, Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, or as I sat on the sidewalk unable to move my legs after Lindsey's fender bender, you always made me laugh! Always there to offer assistance be it on the fire truck, ambulance or in the military you selflessly comited your life to the service of others. Your unwavering commitment to the citizens of Bristol, Warren, Rhode Island, United States of America and God will never be forgotten."

The Firefighters Prayer
When I am called to duty, God...
Wherever flames may rage...
Give me strength to save some life...
Whatever be its age...
Help me embrace a little child...
Before it is too late...
Or to save an older person from...
The horror of that fate...
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout...
And quickly and efficiently...
To put the fire out...
I want to fill my calling and...
To give the best in me...
To guard my every neighbor and...
Protect his property...
And if according to my fate...
I am to lose my life...
Please bless with your protecting hand...
My children and my wife...
Mike, we hold you in our hearts"

"Hi, my name is Kim and I am a student at Barker Middle School. When my teacher discovered this fallen heroes website she thought it would be a good idea to do this activity to expand our knowledge on how extreme the war is now. All of us in the 7th grade are writing to two or more families about their child or relative. I understand that your son was a very brave man. He stood up for what he thought was right and served justice. He sounds like an amazing person and if I was related to him I would be very proud. I know it is very hard to lose somebody. I lost my Grandparents over 2 yrs ago and I still think about them everyday. So I have an idea of what your going through and just know your not alone. Many other families are going through he same thing as you.

""Military Police Corps Regimental Prayer
By Chaplain Michael Yarman
Heavenly Father - We approach You today because You have called us to be a people of prayer.
We praise You because You are our Creator, our Redeemer and our Provider.
We acknowledge our great need for You as we fulfill our mission as soldiers.
We have been called to serve our nation as Military Police and we are proud of the honored heritage of the Regiment and our motto: Of the Troops and For the Troops.
Whether we are fighting an enemy, securing as area, patrolling the streets, or helping someone in distress, help us, O Lord, to always be men and women of integrity who can be counted on to do the right thing.
Give us the strength to stand for what is right and to oppose those who would do harm to our nation and the people we serve.
May we always be truthful in Word, Deed and Signature, and bring honor through our service to the memory of those in the Regiment who gave the supreme sacrifice for their country.
Guide us now, Father, by giving us wisdom and knowledge from on high, that as Military Police we will always be prepared to Assist, Protect and Defend.""

"Michael was one of the most wonderful people anyone could hope to meet. He was dearly loved and cherished by his wife, step-son, parents and siblings. He was loved by his friends and well-liked by all who knew him. His loss will be deeply felt for a long time. We will cope with the loss by remembering him fondly in life. We will remember the laughter shared and his happiness in his brightest moments. On behalf of his family and friends I wish to thank all who have expressed their sympathy and offered their prayers. I only hope our soldiers will come home soon. No one should suffer the pain we feel now. He died serving his country, in honor. We are comforted by the faith that God will hold him now in peace and he will look down on all of the people he loved, to guide and protect.
Michael will be forever in our hearts."
