"John,
Ever since you left us I have not forgotten about you. I remember how we both tried out for soccer that year before you were deployed. I remember very clear the day you were being deployed at the reserve center. I had just returned from basic training. I know I joined the Army because you helped understand what it met to serve. Unfortunately you are no longer with us. You are missed and I think about you all the time. God bless you and your family. Brothers in arms Perez"

"I met Juan's father today, at a Cindy Sheehan (Gold Star Families) demonstration just a block from George and Barbara's home. I was so impressed with his father's love for him, and his concern for stopping this carnage that so other families don't have to suffer what his family is now suffering. It was hard to look at those pictures of Juan, and realize that this very handsome young man is now gone, and that his existence on earth is completely over. I salute his courage in going to Iraq, but I feel heartbroken that his leaders failed him so. I extend my appreciation for Juan's sacrifice to his family, and I also extend my concern and condolences as they try to repair the emptiness inside their souls these days. They will be in my thoughts for a long, long time to come."
Brandon Wolf of Houston, Texas

"Juan, Thank you for your tireless efforts for peace. I saw you in Evanston last night, and I am moved and saddened by your loss. You said the schools are for education. The military has no place there, seducing our children. I have a high school son, and live here in Chicago. Please let me know when your group meets, and what kind of support you need. I have a flexible schedule, and would be willing to show up when the recruiters come in to our schools, to give an alternative voice. Thanks again."

"To the family of John.
Ever since I met John I will never forget what a great person he was. I was able to play soccer with him, and saw him leave when he deployed. He left a mark in my life and believe me I will never forget what a great person he was and it is sad that he is not back. It is sad to know he was 6 months away from being able to leave the army and move on with his life. God bless you and God Bless John"
Gabriel of Houston Tx

"I had the pleasure of meeting John's parents yesterday. They are lovely people, and I was very moved by the love they expressed for John. How sad it is to all of us that the military is hiding the true circumstances of his death. How remarkable that our own government can be so caught up in drug trafficking in Afghanistan that it kills its most honorable citizens to cover up its shameful deceit. Most sadly of all is how content our population in the U.S. is with such incredible scandal. My heart goes out to all families whose children have been murdered, only to be classified as suicides by a renegade government."
Steve Blank of Forest Park, IL

"If you knew John, please contact me as soon as possible. He was murdered by someone in afghanistan to cover up the illegal drugs given to soldiers by high ranking officers. We, his family will not stop until the truth is heard...."
